The worst part about having people on your team who you grow to dislike is that your MMR is tied to theirs for the rest of the game.
Win? They gain MMR, generally despite all their "contributions" 
Lose? You lose MMR too even when its pretty much just their fault
Yes I know it isn't always their fault, and sometimes jerks play well.

edit: we won, there was a DC on their team. but to be fair, besides terrible picks, they were actually not bad. Helped w support etc, still not being able to communicate sucks

I played my first game with brood since the nerf. Started out 8-2, but our gyro goes aghs refresher so we lose.
Seems to be a common theme of me playing brood. I start the game really well, but cant out carry the medusa/void/naix or in this case, the am.
oh, and I already had the gyro muted before the game started, so he was probably an ass.

Probably. I swear this guy I played with...I'm pretty sure I heard the phrase "sorry, I didn't know Rubik does that" out of him when he got caught out with Telekinesis.
Couldn't even do anything about it myself. He was the guy who had grabbed Captain, had absolutely no idea what he was doing with it, then drafted a Doom out of nowhere that of course I had to play. And my Doom is TERRIBLE.
Bonus points: He chose Necro. Which he played as a support. And started to build a bloodstone.
Double bonus points: The other team flamed him because apparently he'd been in their previous game which his team had won and he'd apparently been making fun of them for allowing his team's carry to freefarm.

Any corrective measure on 5-stacking is never going to be enough to make up for the coordination benefits unless you're talking about a 2k MMR drop. In any case...you said it yourself...AVERAGE MMR. They need one good player who can convince the other team members not to feed and its a walkover. And I say that having done it myself when I've very occassionally stacked. Its really, really not that hard to crush when you know your other lanes aren't going to actually feed and will listen to your directions.
And besides, the MMR disparity means little when the guy who had virtually zero DOTA2 experiences grabs the captain spot and drafts something with zero synergy.
There is absolutely no reason not to have solo queue back in this game. Its absolutely disgusting.

I was criticized for talking about same topic again and again but, I am done with matchmaking until full solo queue is implemented. Seriously I couldn't enjoy the game constantly dragged out by some party guy with MMR deficit.
I played(phoenix) a dual lane against a double stun + Luna trilane and went a little bit too aggressive. Anyways I was 4 levels above of mid invoker at one time(300 to 426 end game xpm), I tripled the hero damage(5.8K to 16.8K) of our "carry" drow(triple stack).

I played some HS after that retarded game and it feels very good. There is no reason to play without a 5 man party.

Standard team of South Americans. Everyone pings incessantly at every little thing. Rune? Ping 10 times. Back? ping 10 times. Their broken english is caps locked in every other phrase they utter. The group of them run head first 3 times into es ult.

had a cw game of my life... well sorta, hitting great hooks left and right, to where even I'm like wtf.. how did it land that. 10-1-10 at 1 point. Only to lose it cause our carry has nothing. ok he had a yasha and hotd bkb, 40 mins in, with us winning on kills and having fair mapcontrol. Ah at least I have a qq thread to make me feel a tiny bit better. Gr i really deserved that win
Might as well ask your opinion, if you are doing well on cw, which big item should you buy? I had opted wrongly for heart after phase, drums, blademail. Especially since they had naix, I think Shiva s would have been better. or even a sheep stivk. We had mek and pipe. Given that the game felt like aghs would not have been useful, what's a good call in general?

I think especially vs naix you need a force staff, so you can cog him and get out of cogs. But it's just a generally good item on almost any hero. Aghs is really good too, both offensively for initiating and defensively for escaping. After those I would also consider the other options you suggested (Shiva and Sheep) over heart.

I would say: Forcestaff + BKB, Halberd or Aghs.
Then Shiva/Sheep for sure… Probably just about anything before heart except when your SOOO far ahead that Heart will make you totally unkillable.

That feeling when you see a Sf pick go to mid. It's like you know your chances of winning from the get-go has plummeted. I can't fathom a random repick into sf xD.
