Just played with an Invoker who had only 1 invoke point at level 14, never casted meteor even though he had max exort and used only Forge Spirits and Sunstrike.

either way he runs at the enemy prophet alone, gets sprouted, ults at 1hp, dies, buys back and complains that "team is useless" and proceeds to run in 1v5 again when clearly OUR TEAM IS ALREADY DEAD

Diretide Radiant side. Someone on our team picks broodmother, and we get 5 manned at our ancient right off the bat. Brood doesn't know how to count and doesn't web up their cliff for easy picking.

Why do so many people want to do Diretide PvE? It's really boring just sitting there wacking at their candy bowl for 20 minutes, and you get more money than you can even spend.... Usually what seems to happen is the people who plead so much to do it this way end up buying like 5 rapiers and a Daedalus, and proceed to die each and every time Rosh does one of his AoEs. Absolutely useless...

because diretide is stupid, the only reason to play diretide is to farm items. Making a game mode that requires you to cooperate with your enemy to achieve a greater goal that is exploitable in a lot of ways is just a very poor idea. Also since it is all pick, you can just snipe heros that are very strong early game and for PvP in general if you want to play it the way it is supposed to be played. If they want to make a gamemode like this they need a reasonable drafting system, remove obvious exploits and just hand out essences randomly for everyone that is playing; and not for the players that abuse certain game mechanics like pudge getting extra str for each kill or magnus increasing cleave damage.

me and my friends play TEAM GLOBAL every so often. Bloodseeker with AA and Invoker is fucking hilarious actually.
We lose all the time just so you know 
but its all worth it to watch one enemy hero at 25% hp weave around all the way from his t1 to his fountain trying to predict two global damage spells only to get owned as he walks into the fountain : )))))

If you go true team global, the best part is killing them at the fountain as soon as they respawn.

People who go into Diretide match and farm jungle and lanes 100% without ever making any attempt to steal candy or defend our bucket. Then take over a minute to get to the final Roshan fight and then spend over half the fight attacking enemy heroes and not Roshan.
Why are people even allowed to queue for this mode if they have 0 clue what to do?
We didn't even get past lvl2 Roshan, let alone win the candy war...

The whole Diretide mode seems to be incredibly poorly designed from an incentives points of view - it leads to people trying to ignore the actual intended gameplay in order to play some tedious pseudo-coop mode, while whining about anyone that actually tries to fight. Seems like it would be a lot more fun if there was no big Rosh fight at all.

This too. Every Diretide game someone is yelling at us to exploit the system and do some convoluted thing to get him super fed for 30min so we can do Roshan for another 30min boringly. And if we don't listen he just curses at us and then pretty much afk's and doesn't try it normally at all.
