So I get 2 abandoned players because they think 5 man dota'ing, and just standing around our T1 towers doing absolutely nothing is superior than farming, gaining xp and money. So of course Drow Ranger feeds 6 deaths 0 kills, and Axe has ONLY a tranquil Boots in his inventory. Of course they laned together. Anyways, I'm PL farming and split pushing my ass off. Get to their T3 towers and the other team gets to ours as a 5. I tell Puck and KOTL to delay them as I push and we got this. But what the fuck does this piece of shit KOTL do? He does his fucking recall bullshit, DOESN'T TELL ME that he's going to do it. I'm wondering why the fuck am I taking damage all of a sudden? Wait...where the fuck am i? I'm not at the enemy base. I double tap my hero key, and I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ENEMY 5 MAN GETTING GANGRAPED AND DIE BEFORE I CAN RESPOND WITH MANTA AND 'W'. HOLY SHIT MY JIMMIES WHY KOTL WHY?!!?! teamplay , pl pickers worst nightmare. | ||

Awesome, right? Druid offlane. Storm mid. Ogre/Gyro top. I can jungle and then we'll have two stuns and a slow from the jungle to get kills on our safelane. A decent offlane if he knows how to Sylla and a strong mid that I can team up with later on for Naix bombing. Everyone agrees. What could POSSIBLY go wrong? Gyro and Ogre immediately head offlane. I talk Ogre into going top eventually but the Gyro isn't budging and is insisting on solo bot (against enchant jungle, KotL and Tree). Last guy took ages to pick and instead of Sylla he grabs DK...ugh. Ok never mind. If Gyro is confident he can solo offlane we still got two stun and a slow top to pressure timber. Lanes feed. And I mean REALLY hard. We get no wards forever and I get jungle dived too. Other team 5 mans at 10 minutes with a huge advantage from feed. Storm ragequits "crap team". -_- | ||

...is that a solo safelane bounty hunter. Yep, it is. We're fucked. I managed to have fun that game purely by the fact that I stopped giving a fuck at the start. If you can't guess, lanes were fed, screams were had, feeding on purpose ensued. Pudge didn't get a single fucking hook until minute 30 or so where he suddenly started hooking on left and right - at the time where everyone were 10 levels above us. Good guy Pudge, making us feed even harder by bringing the enemies closer bonus QQ: the enemy AM (that got like a minute 25 battlefury with mostly freefarm) added "EZ GAME" . Most of the enemy team was russian too, appearently, but they had wards, detection and shit. This fucking game sometimes | ||

Every time I pick WL and get away with going for that build, I get a team that insists on feeding. I often win mid, get my refresher up but we're losing all other lanes hard, and it's frustrating cause I know how strong it is (lots of games I almost turn it around with early 2x ulti and later 4x golems even being far behind, but team refuses to win anyway). Some games I did fuck up a bit as well but even if I played perfect it wouldnt make a difference.. Whyyy do you punish me every time I WL now valve. argh. At least every time I lose with it I learn how to optimize it a bit better for my playstyle | ||

Competing for farm with an autoattacking Skywrath. I manage 2-2-4 by the end of the game. This was a good score. Why? My team goes 2-11, 2-12, 0-10 and 0-8 Game took less than 30 minutes. That's a death every 44 seconds on average from my teammates. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY? Edit: Actually just calculated it. Game was exactly 29 minutes 1 second long. So that's a death every 42.46 seconds from my teammates. I didn't even know you could feed that hard. | ||

To put it mildly, I was pretty upset that they could do this and didn't know how to counter it. If you don't know about this trick you'd miss out on so much XP/gold, and if you do know then you're so vulnerable to ganks and getting firstblooded. what a piece of shit. | ||

I have done my homework. Played a few hundred bot games so that I remember most of the characters (abilities as well as some finer points) and all of the items. I had practiced the basics like last hitting under towers, stacking and pulling, ward placements and what not. I have watched some tournament games and understand the most basic strategic concepts. Yet, my MMR is so low that I match with people who send Broodmother safelane, Gyro offlane, zeus mid and have a spare bristleback inSD, while my only options are Sven, Riki and Tinker. The problem is that even if I knew how to educate them I could not because the current generation of gamers just want to talk shit and be bad. That and no one seems to speak english. I am not even being rude to people, but I cannot seem to encourage communication. I am doing what I can for the team, buying the wards every 6 mins, always have detection, getting the couriers etc. I am even pooling a few tangos here and there. But it seems pointless when people want to play their Pudge offline and feed. I wish I knew a way out of this newbie mmr hellhole without getting lucky, because unlike starcraft I cannot solo my way out of it  | ||

Just keep playing with the intention of getting better regardless of the games outcome. Just because you know what hero skills do and where to place wards doesn't mean you're a high lvl player. Even if you might not see it, you are definitely making mistakes. Take a look at your replay and you'll see alot of them. GL | ||

Happened to me the other day. I just dragged the creeps all the way back to the fountain when they charged us (free exp, no gold though, and as a support I would constantly pull the wave to the jungle and try pull the jungles further away with great success since no one would contest it) with probably 10 waves worth of creeps. I thought that the wave will eventually come and the best thing we could do now is deny as much of our waves as we can so that when it does come, we would have an exp advantage. We didn't get killed but we lost tier 1 & 2. They rage quit when we outplayed them. | ||
