Just pick a snowballing hero and go mid for a few games until you reach a higher mmr. With your experience you should easily be able to dominate even if you're not used to playing that role.

thanks for the awesome help effort, but I'd rather reach high MMR myself (if i can). are there any chatrooms for finding decent people maybe?

The TL.net guild chat is always there to help you play and stuff. Anyway, if you really want to rack up your rating to the Very High rapidly / easily, you shall try the 5-stack doto mode. The enemies should be harder, but on the other hand it's also easier for you when you can coordinate well.

Anyone else prefer picking position 4 or 5 heroes in Matchmaking? I hate playing carries in solo queue because it gets very hard to farm if the rest of the team is stuck in "League Mindset." Nothing better than your entire team hiding/farming in the jungle because they don't know what to do and you know if you go to a lane for some last hits the enemy team will gank you because you're the only thing they see on the map. It's so hard to get people to push, gank, or make plays nowadays.

I swear I am going to start picking Riki to prevent other players from having him. What part of “They have a sentry down” do you not understand? Also, buy items with HP, damn it. It doesn’t matter how you do if you get nuked in 2 shots.

remind me what does he do besides being annoying? kills don't have any inherent weight. a kill on a useless target is a waste of mana and time. he has no disables and little damage. kill the rest of his team first. then you can take your time killing him. it's only idiots who will focus him because hurr durr must get kills on everyone all the time. he's actually a worse skeleton king in that skeleton king actually has a stun and does damage and heals to full mana and health and isn't countered by big burst damage like Laguna Blade. What does he do? Carries the mek, pipe, or other aura items? Runs around putting his debuff on everyone to give the carries more attack speed? Shields and heals vulnerable targets? By level 7 he can make a lane extremely difficult to gank by keeping the carry healed and shielded and having a safe escape of his own, not to mention the ridiculously low cooldown of 60 seconds at level 1. In a team fight, who do you focus first? Do you try to burst down the dragon knight with BKB? No, you kill the dazzle who's going to grave his ass. Abaddon can survive the entire team fight, he's almost always the last to die because regardless of whether or not you're trying not to murder him he's going to gain a significant amount of health with his ult thanks to AoE If your idea of a hero's usefulness is: moar damage moar stun = gewd, then feel free to let Abaddon buff his entire team without any risk of harm while you all focus Sven
once he pops mek and pipe he literally doesn't have a purpose. he has no flash farming ability, and his Curse of Avernus is piss-poor compared to something even like Venge's HoT and command aura. he provides approximately 450 effective HP to other heroes each time he uses coil and shield, net gain of 325 all in all because of the health cost. that's every ~6 seconds. that's assuming at least level 9 to max them both since CoA is a shitty skill to max. they're very short ranged and if you have your carry permanently parked at abbadon's side you're losing the game since that means less experience for your carry and abbadon isn't stacking and pulling which he needs to do almost constantly in order to shore up his atrocious farm pace.
he's somewhat similar to undying in that he tries to force you to focus him but it's fairly hard to focus him.
this is countermanded by the fact that he gets to put out a total of another 450 health after borrowed time and then he says goodbye because he won't survive until his cooldowns are back up.
it's not that he is a bad hero it's that he simply doesn't really have any place in a trilane. he's fine in dual lanes but he will simply be out-aggressed and fairly useless in tri vs. tri which is an incredibly important consideration right now. he's also bad at killing offlaners and bad at pushing towers. at least undying has the advantage of being a trilane vs. trilane monster. he just doesn't have anything that he really excels at. isolating him from a fight isn't difficult and he offers nothing without his team in close proximity.

people in low MMR rarely ever buy wards and there's an even lower chance of them looking at the minimap to see you coming. Just gank people rapidly like you're santa claus and they're naughty children.
