why not just solo queue so you don't run into stacks? takes 2-3 minutes more to find a game but will ALWAYS be worth it.

Playing both with and against groups is in general more fun imo, even when soloing. Coordination improves and people are slightly more likely to do the "right" thing.

My experience in solo queue has been that people are more willing to start cooperating, because they know that unless they start talking and coordinating, nothing will get done, since they can't rely on a stack to be coordinated for them. There are of course the games where nothing gets done right, but the impromptu team-work happens often enough that it's worth it.

Agreed, the game I mentioned on the other page would probably have been a complete loss if there'd been a couple of people stacked in it. To win me, Viper and Lycan had to strategise and share item building responsibilities and decide how to play it out. In the end we all made some good calls and pulled through. If there'd been a stack there's no way people would have cooperated like that and more likely they'd be raging on me for being unable to defeat Broodmother 1v1 and at Skywrath for being a newbie.
Just came out of another nicely teamworked game actually with a decently done 4-protect-1 strategy involving a Void. Solo queue seems to force people to cooperate. Don't get me wrong, there's still plenty of rage moments. But I see a lot less of the "gang up and yell at someone".

After having an awesome win pubstomb streak with some RL friends yesterday I decided to play some games alone again. Huge mistake, dota gave me the D again.
First game I am going Clock mid. My team: Chen (jungle), Axe (offlane), Dazzle, Troll Warlord. Their team, Lina, Silencer Luna Lion Faceless Void
So I am going up against Silence mid and manage to kill him 3 times in the first 6 min. After getting arcanes I proceed to go gank the lanes which was always really sucessful since I hit the timing where the enemy tried get the last hit on a very low hp hero of our team which means they were being low hp themselve and clumped. So I hook, get double kills on Lion Lina and Silencer Luna. After 10 min, it is 10 : 7. I am asking myself how the F*** they could feed so hard on lanes but was like nvm I killed them alot we should be even. After some teamfights where my teammates die cause of stupid diving but me manage to get some kills. I am like 14:0 but felt we were loosing which was right cause void came in just with mom battlefury and crystalis and raped our whole team. Ofc troll had no farm as he sucks last hitting and diving like shit. He had phase and ring of aquila and by the time 1 min b4 game ended he finally got a bkb. Axe never rlly joined our fights as he never carried a cheap ass tp, Troll Warlord after 36 min game: 101 Last Hits, i have 90 with a clockwerk..
2nd game, I decide its time to play jungle Lifestealer, as I havent played him in months and I am tired of other roles (implying supporting shit carrys).
First picks are me with Life, Puck and Juggernaut. I was hoping the other 2 pick supports, but nah, f*** you team, I wanted to carry and now I will pick carry anyway and make u loose the game. last 2 picks are Dragon Knight and Faceless Void.
Both go bottom dire lane and feed the wisp sven lane. Meanwhile solo juggernaut feeds rubick clinkz lane. Only one I had hope in was Puck as he managed to sucessfully gank the both top and bot lanes. Well after arcane boots one would expect that he gets a blink dagger to initiate properly. Nope rushes dagon instead and dies 10 times without killing anybody.
3rd game. Our team picks are treant, vengeful spirit Skelleton King and spirit breaker, I pick clock again as we have no mid.
Treant tells me that I shouldnt forget to gank alot as I am a imba gank hero. I thought hey he mb knows a little bit about the game and got hope that this team will be good. Nah nah nah dota wont let you play good games in pub without stacks.
What happens? Treant gets quelling blade iron branches and regen, venge gets some shit aswell nobody of them buys a courier. Lanes are even worse. Treant venge top dire lane and spirit breaker, sk bot dire suicide lane. Mid I face a Templar Invoker dual Lane (seems like they had retards in their team aswell as invoker told us to report TA). Besides being unmotivated by this team and getting no bottle I just leave after 2 min as I see first blood spirit breaker and sk got killed. didnt even care about possibly getting into low priority mm. Good feeling though that I purposly let the game go on for 5 min instead of abandoning the game right after leaving.

The moment you see somone pick medusa in a pub, you're probably doomed.
List of sins:
1. Split shot max first without ever attempting ancients
2. Never toggles off split shot
3. Decides joining ganks is better than farming- at 30 minutes this gem comes out: "I think I have to farm"
4. Uses ult when running from enemies
5. 0-3 by 10 minutes
6. Never farms whole game despite the ton of wards I've put up to cover him
7. Eventually rages at team

people who have 300+ wins yet still pick a team of sniper, drow, skel king, sven, void. fortunately it was the other team, but I still have no patience for experienced people who have no understanding of the game. the thinking seems to be: "if I pick a carry i will get lots of kills :D". I guess they played a game where they went 20-0 with a carry, so they think they're amazingly skilled, resulting in them blaming their team for the rest of their dota career every time they don't achieve that 20-0.

Picking Tinker makes me play like an asshole, but also seems to make my teams play stupid/selfish to punish me for it.
One game I'm against a Brood mid, so I pretty much have to go March max, right? Which also means I can't gank, right? Wisp on safe-lane bitches at me for not ganking when, as far as I'm aware, it's pretty much impossible for me to gank (unless you want the mid tower to instantly die). I start needing to bottle-crow and need a courier upgrade but he literally refuses to do it. In the end I should've just fucking done it myself though since what's the good in having Travels when I have to sit mid and spam march just to keep the Brood off my tower? (I eventually lost it anyway)
Second game I go laser rocket but never gank, which I want to blame on the Mirana I was up against getting literally every rune by either camping the spots 10 seconds in advance, having her teammates camp them, or me waiting on the top side of the lane and hoping it doesn't spawn bot for the umpteenth time in a row which of course it does, but in the end I should probably have just tried to make something happen anyway. Then after I get my Travels my team literally spends 10 minutes sitting under our mid T2 doing nothing while I farm the sidelanes. What the fuck should I have done? Was pushing the sidelanes preventing my allies farming? I mean, nobody would even go into the jungle, ffs just go as four to lay some wards down, we had fucking Warlock, Titan, and Veno, that's free teamfight wins, right? On the one hand there must have been some way I could've actively contributed more, but on the other it genuinely didn't seem like there was anything to contribute TO, because my teammates were literally doing nothing. I just don't fucking know.

Did the servers just die? If so, this is the 4th time I'm winning a game and then servers crashes. Here I thought our invoker and nyx were idiots because they left for no reason. Seems they couldn't even reconnect.

edit: appearently it's a fucking thing, just like any other ranged hero on Radient. Except in the guide they get to level 7 by minute 9, not fucking level 2

I had a ghost scepter and we were already against megacreeps. In hindsight it barely did anything but saving for buyback wouldn't have helped me.
but yeah, if I had just gotten a hex instead of the eblade

Playing Dota during the day is awful sometimes! Ended up on a team were I was the only one who spoke English. Everyone else was from Venezuela and got mad because I couldnt understand them... Also mad that I picked axe even thought the other team was all melee including carries. Im playing on NA East and West only
I died twice in 15mins and was called a feeder when I was vs a gyro/trent and jungle BS. Zues lost to a sniper mid and did not come top to stop a free farming gyro.
