http://i.imgur.com/dKLI8Z4.jpg Two 9/10s before this of 6-7 minute queue-time each; found an 8/10 game about 30 seconds after the screenshot was taken.
edit: gave up after 10 minutes into the next queue.
I play -cm to maximize the enjoyment, success chance, and learning I'll reap from each game. Playing on another server makes lasthitting harder, and can prevent clutch escapes/kills. Even just playing on uswest can be the difference between shadow demon getting a clutch disruption off and living or not and dying, etc. If I had a group of similarly skilled and like-minded friends to play with, I'd be queueing with them instead of with pubs. In-house games don't improve mmr. I agree that playing at a different time would make the difference, but I'm awake now, and still-- 47 minute queue is a bit ridiculous...

I think team matchmaking, playing inhouses, queueing several servers or playing at peak hours would all help you get into a CM game quicker.

Elder titan - fuck that hero.
Also nobody in a pub game can play medusa. I have not been on a team with a competent medusa or played against one either. They all get 25min linkens as their first items or does stupid ancients to get ganked into oblivion, or simply feeds into oblivion. I cringe more when someone picks medusa then i do when someone picks morphling or meepo on my team.

I love Medusa as a hero, and pick her up now and then. But she is completely incompetent at farming until you get a yasha. I can understand why most people will have a hard time getting her off the ground.

Wonder how many hero win rates have been affected by stupid core item listings. Batrider, bounty and medusa come to mind. Ffs, any time some1 makes vanguard on batrider or battlefury on BH i cringe

This is pretty much the story of my life on the Australian server, except I get almost those kinds of queue times in solo queue all pick. I've never even attempted -cm for fear of dying from old age.
I get depressed by the way the timer resets after a 9/10, because it robs me of the opportunity to screenshot a 1:xx:xx timer and mail it to valve.

Random Draft.
I first pick Nyx (Nyx and PL in the pool, no WAY am I giving away both of them).
Rest of the picks? Void, NP and then DK. Ok not the best but if the last guy picks a decent ranged supp-....Clockwerk.
We later lose to a team which included a Sange & Yasha/Vanguard PL.

The utter retards are valve are laughably incompetent. Really utterly LAUGHABLY bad at such a fucking easy job. Who on gods fucking earth decided that people are so fucking stupid that they can't mute people they don't want to listen to? No, it needs to be fucking babyfed with a spoon to people because they are unable of deciding for themselves who they want to mute. This whole stupid dumbass system has literally meant any hope of having any teamwork within a fucking TEAMWORK centered game is gone, and instead the only option for people is to either jungle or GTFO. It's gotten to the point where I am considering switching to League of bloody Legends, because, at least in that game, people can actually talk.
Cheers Valve.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who hates the mute system with all of my soul.

shadowblade should be made core on Furi, jesus fuck
Doing a Necro build instead of a Lothars one because there is a BH in the game is such a freaking pain in the ass. Not to mention that if you dont have dat dere invizubilitah you get dunked by fucking everyone. Its as if they're are unloading on you specifically for all the previous Furion games they've had where they couldnt catch him

I've got to agree. I don't think the people who mock the mute system realize that they're being punished and that punishments aren't necessarily based off what people can or can't do by themselves. They've demonstrated that they are unable to responsibly use the chat system so that particular privilege is being taken away temporarily. Part of being a part of a community is respecting others in the community. That's something you'll have to learn eventually. You really can't go around talking shit to everyone and expecting to get off scot-free because you've gotten off in the past. People are really going to have to accept the fact that the game is now run by a modern gaming company with the modern gaming philosophy of "stop being an asshole".

The secret to not being muted is pretty simple: Don't be an asshole to your teammates. One angry guy spewing vile hate on a team does much more damage than can be offset by the possibility of that same guy giving useful input to the team in-between the whiny, hate-filled rants.
I realize a lot of people have been complaining about the mute system, but my experience and the experiences of the five other people I game with suggest that it is working as intended (ragers constantly threatening to report us and yet we have never been muted, but we log in constantly to find the "action taken" dialogue because of legitimate reports) and we appreciate that there are repercussions for being a dick. People apparently need additional motivation to treat their teammates well, so "Cheers Valve."
Now for my QQ: Playing middle Skywrath and as soon as I hit level 6 I gank bottom for a double-kill. Less than a minute later the 0-4 Riki says, "skywrath start gank." It was a good game that ended well, but it is really annoying to have other players telling you what to do...especially when you already are.

If I want to mute some1 I can easily to do it myself, so what's the point of the system? I'm not muted, I've never been muted, yet it still affects me because every game 2 of my teammates can only communicate by pinging the map and spamming the chat wheel.

I can't stand being mid anymore. People start moaning extremelly loudly whenever they lose their lane hard, and when you lose it´s not their fault for feeding the lane - no it´s your fault for not ganking enough. Think i went 8 - 1 in the early game as QoP once and we still lost since a lane fed a CK to kingdom come and i get blamed for the loss. Also annoys me that people find it absurd to HELP mid and gank the enemy mid. Think that has happened to me less then five times.

Bit of an exaggeration there bud, given that I get 3minute queues almost all the time on Aus server. And I sometimes play at 2am, 8am and the afternoon. Even 8am on a weekday I can still find 3min queues.

The best feeling is when someone rages at you all game and says something like "REPORT HIM" in all chat, then the game ends, I come back half an hour later and get the "someone you reported has been banned" message.
Since they changed the report system I have made a habit of never cursing/raging at anyone in game. Its served me pretty well, no mutes so far.
It's a lot harder to give thoughtful constructive criticism to a teammate in a heated game then it is to just say "RETARD NOOB" but I find its the best way to go.
|
Why has "easy game" become such a normal thing to say? Why do people feel the need to talk down to their opponents after they've won and show themselves as bad winners? Nothing makes me more annoyed, especially when people on my team do it. I don't want to trash talk my opponents after I've won, and I certainly don't want to be on a team with anyone who does.

I'm highly surprised you've never been muted. The fact still remains that the people who have been muted have lost their privilege to use voice and text chat. The system has been made so they can communicate the absolute necessities if they so choose. Valve does not want to outright ban these individuals because they do not want to deal with the problem of smurfing (which sadly has arisen anyhow) from people who can't accept that they've done something wrong.

You can still make shadowblade on furi, simply dont count on it to escape. Just push a lane when you can see the bh.
