Veno can beat TA mid (assuming a good player, true). Run Bane safe lane, BH suicide, and double roam with ES/WD. They have no good suicide laner so either you kill a solo a bunch of times or they send enigma to solo the hard lane, which negates any jungle advantage they have. The key is to GANK LIKE MOFOS once bane/BH have 6 (and really even before), and then if you can get ahead of the squishies, ES + Veno + WD is some pretty solid teamfight (and everybody but veno can cancel black hole).
Sure you could have a better draft, but your captain wasn't braindead or anything. Your team had a chance to outplay them.
Solo-Q CM is a bit silly though, I agree.
its pub, so off course it was Veno+BH vs Lesh+Slardar+Jungling Enigma top, Bane vs TA mid and WD+ES vs Jakiro bot
and it works, kinda, won early team fights due to the massive AoE damage and even manage to destroy 2nd tier top tower and get all the 1st tier, until Lanaya and Slardar get farmed enough then they just 2-3 hit all the squishy heroes (all 5 of them)
like playing with a timer and when it reach 20 minutes you lose

Sometimes looking at people i play with i wonder what goes thru mind of person that last picks AM, gets free farm for first 25 mins of game and at 40 mins have Basher, Vlads and Power Threads.

End up in game where I'm only player above 20 wins (80ish wins), fail to carry it anyway since Huskar loses mid horribly to Bloodseeker and someones on low hp constantly (Huskar) so Bloodseeker has perma haste and I forgot my fucking aura on since lvl 1 as Drow like a fucking retard until Lina pointed it out, all this time I was wondering my last hitting was exceptionally bad and our lanes kept pushing, fml. Somehow I was strongest hero on the field mid game even after all that but they had several melee carries with lot of items in the end and I just couldn't do it alone.
Next game has 700 win people instead of 20 win people, I'm winning mid as Luna vs Sniper till I start to overextend and die to his ultimate. (sigh) Proceed to lose the game eventually while getting rightfully flamed by Naix who sat in jungle most of the game.
Guess I should check peoples wins every game and when I'm the highest hope I can carry and if I'm the lowest just support bitch.

Ironically my one time I got low priority (when I first started I was in the SC2 habit of disconnecting a lost game, so I racked up a few rapid abandons early) I actually had better games than in normal.
People were actually getting the courier on a support. And LHing. And supporting the carries. And choosing reasonably balanced teams of a mix of melee and range. And coordinating in english.
I mean...by the gods people who weren't me were buying WARDS.
I don't even know how that happened.

In, high que games wards and couriers are frequent. I had in 1 of 20 games that I haven't got a courier. Maybe this is because I never play hard carries but heroes that requires some brain to play. So I buy wards, no matter what.
Ahh, it doesn't change the retardness level of your teammates. Higher you go, the more you will carry(You mixed up with low levels to balance the teams, jeez). Yesterday one of the opponents offer me an another beta key to start over because my teammates sucked that badly.

Its actually really annoying that that happens without telling you.
I support the majority of the time (usually the only way to guarantee wards, courier is more common). Suddenly finding you're the only person on the team with more than twenty wins and you're on a hard support whilst your counterpart on the opposing team is on a carry is very frustrating. -_-

I think this way of choosing teams is a flawed way of doing it. Putting the two best players in your mmr group on each team is well and fine, but when one of those "bets players" picks support, and the other carry, its most likely going to be a complete walkover. And you never know if you are the one who is suppose to be the "best player" or someone else.

I think it might even help with some of the flaming, OH he's our lowest mmr player let's not expect too much from him! I mean yeah there will still be flame but i still think net effect would be positive.
Also sometimes when you feel like you are the only one in the team with something resembling a brain it would be really nice to see if your allies mmr actually are lower, it could help with rethinking if your way of playing is right after all.

I always wondered how does that work? I've seen many players with too few wins considering their level... does that mean that they just lose like 90% of their games? i don't think so, since i've seen this on very good players' as well. or is there something else involved? if someone could explain i'd very much like to know.

Could have been new accounts made for diretide since the wins/losses of diretide don't count towards your regular wins/losses shown in your dota profile.

That moment when you're looking for a gank and you find that perfect opportunity. You blink in, ravage 4 heroes and then see your entire team sprint the fuck outta there. Cause fuck fighting other heroes I might die, let's go 4 man jungle.

Well..yeah? I would too. I'm so fucking sick and tired of people just picking any random hero cause "i play like I want to", when its a 5 man teamgame. Just because you like to play riki does not mean we need that fourth carry. If you have the lowest mmr, you should probably pick support. You might even learn a thing or two.
Not saying there aren't exceptions, especially when you get in the higher mmr brackets where people specialize in different things. But really, if you have the lowest mmr, you potentially completely screw your team over by picking a hero that the team is suppose to rely on.
On a sidenote, I'm also sick and tired of people playing their hero completely retarded because they "want to play my own way". Well, your "own" way, which includes not skilling ulti on syllabear, or worse not skilling BEAR on syllabear, is retarded! Stop playing it your way! P.S. Saying "I never lost this way" is NOT a valid excuse for playing bad. And so far, a 100% of the times its been a lie too >.<!

I guess it depends whether or not he had played 500 or 50 games of dota 2. I for one am pretty decent last hitter and have good map awereness due to playing sc2 quite a bit but having played like 50 games i have no clue what items i should get for certain heroes. Getting into same games with people that have like 400 wins on their account can be frustrating since Dota 2 is more like a knowledge based game... having good "mechanics" doesn't mean much if you don't even know what abilities the opposing teams heroes have
