I play Naga from time to time (been playing Initiators and Supports very heavily lately though) and trying to get a good initiation ultimate with her is a NIGHTMARE in a pub game. People don't understand how it works, don't listen and don't check the timing on it. I played one game where me and Shadow Fiend were CONSTANTLY at odds over it. I'd song to initiate and let my team get into position but he was just repeatedly popping his ultimate all over the place. So what would tend to happen is he'd repeatedly ultimate whilst song was going on, wasting it, rather than getting into position right in the middle to ultimate as my song wore off.
I play a lot of Naga and my team just tends to run away when I initiate with my ult for some fucking reason. We have 4 heroes ganking 3 with Song activated, I go near them, pop Mirror Images and I see the other gankers leaving even though the situation didn't change.
Something similar happens in most games whenever I play Naga.

guys, alchemist best carry in the game. no matter how hard your team throws, if you get 10 mins of free farm, other team can't do shit. i just raped a free farming am while being down 15 kills and having a brain dead venge. it's fucking ridiculous what this hero can do. i did get a 4-5 min midas, but... like you can farm a fucking ac or heart in 3-4 minutes, it's just retarded.

He still has weaknesses but I do think he's better than a lot of people give him credit for. Granted, you have to be able to last hit and get plenty of farm, which 99% of pubs are incapable of doing, so he just comes out underfarmed in the mid-game and gets stomped.
But yes a max-item Alchemist in the end game is a terror to behold.

I hate how I get raged at every game. I carry, I'm a noob. I support, I'm a noob. I wish people would recognize the game is a team effort and, even if one person makes a mistake, the game can still be won. It's very discouraging to get raged at by other players all the time for no apparent reason.

Well, I for one won't play DotA if we don't get a visible rating system and/or something that will effectively seperate the different cultures of Europe. Even though I dislike the game, the MMR system in HoN manages to pit people of much more equal skill together. I don't want to play with Dendi on game and then play with inbred mass agility picking Russians the next. If I do, I'd at least want some assurance that we're on the same fucking level rating wise.

This may be a side-effect of how low the population in-game is at the moment. I would expect to be able to find more players my exact MMR level now that the beta has opened up a bit, and would expect to be able to find even more once the game is officially launched.
But there is no question the system could be improved. I feel like a lot of games are one-sided stomps one way or the other.

There are ~140000 people online when I play, usually. It's pretty obvious that there won't be too many equal games, but after the game gets released to the public we'll get much better games

Unless you're playing obscure modes / regions, I doubt match evenness will increase by much. The nature of dota and 5v5 matchmaking makes it hard to produce matches that play out well consistently, not to imply valve are doing a poor job, I'm quite satisfied with my mm experience (1700+ games, starting with only a couple thousand active players).

lel, got matched up with poeple started to whine and flame me at min 1 for no reason. We was against a stack and I wasnt in a mood to try so hard, so I just fed the other team intentionally. lel they got so mad and the funny part is that the other team started to think they where big pro's or something wich made them even more mad.
Got 14h low prio but dont regret anything, not gonna play in 14 h anyway. Bitched got what they deserve.

In the low bracket/low mmr range, sure... Anything above that, alchemist isn't great.

A lot of stuff goes through repel, and Omniknight can only really repel once or twice in a team fight.

#1 thing I hate....
Playing really good, and still going on losing streaks and being unable to win.
I've lost about 6 games in a row (Captains mode games), played really solid to extremely well in all of them (as mainly the mid)... And just can't buy a win right now.
Start off game 6-0 on QoP, out last-hit + deny the opposing mid, control runes perfectly, gank bot where my team is trilane v.s trilane, get triple kill.. Get very fast treads + scepter (had like a 22 minute Scepter + Treads + 2 x null talisman + magic wand).. They still manage to feed.. I end the game 12-6, my team is all around 2-10. We lose.
Another game on SF where I gank lanes, get an early kill.. Team massively feeds, but I STILL manage to play well and stay even level + farm with the opposing teams carry even though they're doubling our kills.
Etc.

This game is becoming a fucking joke. Past 3 days I've won twice and lost about 13 times. What the actual fuck, I've stacked, solo qued or duo qued. When we stack we're like top 50 pages of current games going on out of the 2000 or so pages, games are alright but we still lose. When I solo or duo que my teamates are complete and utter fucking morons.

I've been wondering about you poster's games in the days of original Dota - did you get good or more even matches more frequently on Garena / wherever you played? Did most people play in IHL's or with stacks? How much has changed in Dota2?

Had a bunch of foreigners on my team. They sort of understand/speak English and I don't typically have too much of a problem with foreigners anyway. But then they give up (read: fountained) before the game is even nearly clinched, causing us to lose two sets of rax and basically clinching the game for the other team. They start playing again when they see me continuing to fight and not getting completely pwned, but by that time it's too late. And the entire time we're playing this out, they're all rambling on in chat in whatever language (sounded Singaporian? w/e).
FFS, learn to dota.

Some QQ right here: I just fucking lost a solomid against a Warlock, while I was playing BS. Okay things happen, but WHY it happened makes things worse: He got the 0minute DD rune and I went for a greedy starting build with just 3 tangoes QB and stout, so I ran out of regen quick. So I decided to ferry myself a salve to stay in lane and what happens? One of my teammates deciedes to use the courier to get himself a magic stick. Nothing else. And he obviously has to get it RIGHT NOW, microing the courier like mad, while I am at low HP, desperately trying to stay in exp range, as I get ganked form the enemy VS to just give up firstblood after a WHOLE MINUTE of freaking courier fighting.

Garena/bnet were basically a pubstomp, you can 1v5 easily, you get stuff like lion with SnY and stuff, its sad.
most decent people played in IHL etc.
