three teamfights in a row, they open with ults on me (medusa). Dismember, 1-man black hole, and windranger does her shackle. I am able to pop stone gaze as I walk away, and my team wins the fight. However, I get no assists. Other fights I do a ton of damage, but I don't happen to get any kills. I end up with top hero damage, but 0 kills, 28 assits. Team is flaming me for not getting any kills. I would like to know how the hell they did it. Judging from the first paragraph, your attitudes shit. You can absolutely see how you improve in dota. If you're just venting I apologize. It you want actual advice, fix your attitude. Stop complaining about teammates, stop worrying about scores and MMR and just focus on improving aspects of your own play (positioning, map awareness, lane performance, farming, etc) | ||

I have bet on dota games only twice. Once a couple of months ago and again yesterday. BOTH games were technically won by my team, but both were walkovers (fnatic - roxkis yesterday) so my items were returned with no reward... | ||

All enemies missing off the map, we can see a lot of the bottom of the map but nothing of our jungle. Viper starts killing off our hard camp. "Viper they're going to go on you." He stays there. He dies. All enemies missing off the map. They'd been hanging around Roshan pit. Viper heading for the Secret Shop. "Viper they're probably there." He goes anyway. He dies. Viper chasing one enemy who runs away into their jungle. Rest of them missing. Viper keeps chasing right up into the jungle after him. Rest of the radiant team turns up. He dies. How hard is it to look at the map and realise its a bad idea to go running off into the darkness solo when you have no vision on any enemies? Seriously, I can understand getting caught out once or twice but this guy died eighteen times in total and at least half of them were because he decided he was Marco Polo or something, exploring the dangerous unknowns of the darkness of the map all by himself. | ||

OR: Brew hits level 11, then tells me "I can't thunderclap." What does he mean? He means that he can't cast any spells. None at all. He tries reconnecting twice, he tries feeding to neutrals, but he cannot cast spells. For the rest of the game, all he can do is blink-crit and continue slapping. He became a necrobook carry with a bit of manfighting potential. The saddest part is we were still winning teamfights, even as our ancient was going down. It's just hard to win one convincingly enough to get any objectives done when your solo mid and his high-impact ulti don't exist. Stupidest bug I've ever seen | ||

I'm sorry but there are literally games where going 700GPM+700XPM is insufficient because your teammates are utterly retarded. I don't know if any of the other 5k+ rating people here actually try playing at the 3k to 4k level (I mean a large sample of games with a large number of high level players not all on a team together) but this idea simply does not work in actual practice. When you start improving and focusing entirely on your own situation what happens is inevitably as you nitpick your own play you will become even more aware of the horrible decisions your teammates make. 5 carry teams when 2 carries have been picked since 1:59 left on the counter, an ursa that goes tranquil boots AND power treads AND phase boots because he thinks they stack and obviously I'm the n00b for pointing out that might not be best and finally a sniper that insists that he can take on a Witch Doctor + Mirana dual lane solo and how dare I try to support (he called it leeching) are all very common scenarios at this sort of tier. Teams simply do not stick together. 90% of the time the guys off running around getting killed solo because they get mobbed over on the enemy side of the map while the rest of the team is jungling instead of pushing don't even speak english and make things 50x worse because the moron can't even communicate much less actually play the game. These are not scenarios even people at the top pro level could possibly overcome. If you watched pro streams, these sorts of players buy accounts and end up at the higher MMRs too (I know from personal experience). I'm not saying don't look at your own problem first, but acting like that somehow overcomes the vast problem of "team is retarded therefore I lose no matter if I'm doing well" is utterly retarded. Logic and reasoning are the only real tools of strategic trade. | ||

I seriously just get depressed every time I play mid. If I play heroes that should stay mid and farm, my team constantly bitches about me not ganking. If I play a ganking hero, I will ping, type in chat, and use voice chat for over 30 seconds saying "Hey I'm coming to gank bot, get ready!" or something like that.And the whole time as I walk there...complete radio silence. The guys on my team in that lane stay behind our tower last hitting while I try to get kills, which inevitably fails as its 1v2. Then I walk to back to lane without anything to show for my time and the enemy mid is a level or two ahead. Then when I get back "lol mid why no gank? we lose" Of course, every time the enemy mid goes into fog for more than 4 seconds I use the chat wheel to say >Missing Mid! and often use ping, type, or voice chat to call missing as well. Oftentimes we actually have wards that reveal the enemy mid walking toward lane. And the enemy gets a double kill anyway... Seriously, it's so depressing to be going even, or even beating a scary pub mid like pudge or QOP or something and then have everything spiral out of control because they get first blood + triple kill even after you call missing for a whole minute. | ||

When the enemy team starts 5 maning down towers Axe and his shadow fiend friend who has done nothing but feed and not farm flames the 3 lane for the rest of the game. I get a 16 min radiance or something like that, not too bad considering how fast they took our towers. I try to rat dota as much as possible and make the best out of every situation, but the problem is that axe and shadow fiend keeps feeding like they were paid to do it. We get a few nice fights, I keep every lane pushed out most of the time. Then some people get caught out of position in the jungle and get fucking rekt so we lose 2 lanes of barracks and the game is pretty much over from there. Haven't gotten so frustrated at dota for quite a while, I don't think I played very well but I don't think I could carry that shadow fiend and axe even at my best x5. Also, the fact that my headphones broke yesterday and I had to play with some shitty 0.0000005€ headset doesnt make it better. I hope someone enjoyed reading this. | ||
