I wanted to add to this thread, which i browsed a lot before buying a new mouse.
I switched from the DA to the Rat.7 and i prefer the rat so much more. I have it set up so it fits my hand perfectly and the clicks are a lot more tactile, so my micro has improved greatly.
Thanks to everyone who posted opinions, leading me to buy this great mouse.

deathadder, been good to me so far
|
from the posts on this thread, i have ordered a deathadder from amazon for 12% off. its coming at the end of next week. just wanted to say thank you to all of you for helping me decide!

i'm using the one acer gave me with my computer. it's comfortable, i like it. it's more my keyboard that i really dislike. D:

Got myself a deathadder black edition after my steelseries ikari inexplicably stopped working for the second time..... Awesome mouse feels amazing, fits perfectly would recommend it to anyone. Now if only steelseries would finally process my order that they've already charged me for ill be a happy man, 3 weeks after i actually order my keyboard maybe it'll be shipped.... steelseries customer support ftw ^_^

Spent 60 bucks on a deathadder - best. thing. ever. feels so nice

Rocking this random mouse, going to be getting a g9 when this one fails.

bought a deathadder like 2 years ago, best 80$ spent , still using today

Just got a G9x, gotta say very impressed. So far I'm going with the fat grip, I dislike the grippy texture on the thin one. Put on all the weight cause I'm used to a heavy mouse, playing around with DPI settings, hovering around 2800-3500 for general use.

I've got a G9x as well, however I'm starting to want a lighter-weight mouse, I have none of the weights in and I still feel it's too heavy. I do a lot of high micro builds, so I rely heavily on my mouse accuracy and speed. (e.g. mass hellions to deal with zergling baneling zergs who skip mutas and are uber greedy). I've been looking at a lot of mice, and it seems that the steelseries ikari or one of their other high-end laser engine mice would suite my needs well, anyone have any feedback?

Logitech MX-518, such a good mouse

I presume you've tried it without any grip? It's incredibly light that way, and works well if you're a fingertip gripper.

I just got my Razer Abyssus and it is so lighter than my MX518 and I love it. My hands were always tired after using mx518 for too long. It is lighter than logitech g1 and only 4g more than logitech mini optical mouse which was used by many many pro sc2 gamers.
Edit: I don't really feel comfortable using this mouse. Lol it is strucuted weird than deathadder or mx518 I own. Deathadder feels exactly right for me. I might return this mouse and order a Logitech g1. Anyone used deathadder and used g1 that can tell me how they feel different?

I put all the weights on cause I'm used to a heavy mouse, so it doesn't really bother me...idk. So far the mouse feels really good, I like the tactile feel of the mouse buttons, the movement is very responsive (turned off acceleration in the menus) and I really like it so far. edit- with continued use, I've notice that I don't exactly like the scroll wheel click- it requires a bit too much force for my tastes. It's not that I don't like a clicky/firm scroll wheel, it's that the G9x seems to take it too far, so that I can't click it as fast or as easily as I want to sometimes. Might be something that I just have to get used to.

I used to love mx518 but i bought new mx518 about 6 months ago. After my old one was like 6-7 years old and found they changed mouse feet on it, to these big bulky mouse feet, it feels really bad now i don't like the new mouse feet one bit.

Razer DeathAdder. Best SC2 mouse I've tried!
|
I know nothing about.. mouses? mice? but most people in this thread seem to like the DA so I'm going to throw my money at it and hope for the best!
|
I've used my mx517 for years, it's really the best it gets for me. I recently won a coolermaster mouse at a tournament but I'm thinking about switching back to the logitech.

Does anyone know why they don't sell logitech g1 or mx300 in any store in US? My parents are saying no to buy them from korea and I don't want to wait like 3 weeks to get a mouse. Does anyone know a website they sell them at other than ebay?
