I used RAT5 before and I really like it, fit my hand perfectly, accurate and clicking sound great too

I have this mouse currently, its an awesome mouse for FPS im sure. But I dont think it works well with SC2. Many time frequently it froze up for me. It would either remove x axis or y axis motion so it would only move up/down or left/right. Infact i just lost a game because of it. Im thinking of trading it back in for a less expensive mouse that doesn't freeze up playing SC2.

If someone had this problem with RAT7 before and solved it, can you please PM me.

I pretty much registered here to ask one question, and this is one of the only places I could see what was close to a reference of someone knowing the answer.

Very obscure I know, but in the OP, he said he got the rat to control winamp. I just installed winamp, and unlike other music players, my rat music controls aren't working. Does anyone know what the problem is or how I can fix it?

Open up "Preferences" (ctrl+P), go to global hotkeys and click "Enable default multimedia key support".

I originally bought a rat 3, and after several months (6+ months) of use, a rubber pad on the bottom wore off making it harder to slide across a mouse pad.
I then bought a rat 7, and in much less time (about 2-3 months) the left mouse button failed, so now I am back to using my old rat 3 and it's still working fine several months later..

Really annoyed with the failure of my rat 7 though.

Good mouse shell, subpar sensor. Outperformed by a bunch of $30-40 mice. Deathadder, CM storm spawn, maybe abyssus, etc, which is a dealbreaker for any competitive gamer, unless you are a masochist and like acceleration or angle snapping, other bad quirks etc. The sensor is not reviewed here and most people/sites dont seem to review sensors, which is a shame, because it is by far the most important part of the mouse, unless you have a major physical disability or something.
