When that box is checked for me the preview screen in xplit is pure choppiness, but when it is unchecked it is a normal frame rate. Tested with a stream and was able to do 720p smooth at 30fps. Fuck yeah. interesting ill try that tomorrow, because most people recommend that box be checked O.O but i guess now it being unchecked is better. lame, how come everyone else does not have this problem when they stream, like the real good streamers, seems like they can just turn on the stream everytime and have it work. I have problems where sometiems it disables my mic, my sound is very choppy on stream, or my ventrilo cannot be heard. and also after opening xsplit whenever i do right click options on windows, some tabs stay shown and displayed on the screen until i flash the resolution. it bugs me.

It's amazing for lower qualities, but I switched over to FMLE and I can stream dual 1080p streams now with no trouble at all and also much better quality than XSplit. Basically, you still use XSplit as the capture device and for resolution/framerate, but all of the encoding is handled by FMLE. I didn't think XSplit was the problem since everyone keeps saying how much better it is than FMLE, but apparently that's only for non-HQ streams. A few hours browsing around google turned up quite a bit of information on how XSplit can't handle HD streaming yet. So, if you need any help with setup just toss me a PM. XSplit will probably work better once it's out of beta, but for now it looks like the only way to stream decent HD is with FMLE as the encoder. Even after the recent update it is still pretty awful at any resolutions that have a dimension above 1024. I can stream anything under that perfectly fine but if I increase it at all it becomes choppy as hell. I want to stream at 720 but Xsplit just can't seem to handle it. I tried FME in combination with Xsplit and I can run a 30 fps 720 stream perfectly smooth without even getting close to maxing out the CPU. Dunno what is causing that problem. I would prefer to just run the single program.

Also you should try and use the same streaming ration as your desktop Resolution 960x600 ratio 8:5 /my desktop 1680x1050 also 8:5 if the resolution you want isnt in the list "Tool - Settings - put a check on the one you want" and it will show up on the list out infront under "View - Resolutions"

Exact same thing happened to me. A few things changed in it, but search around in the settings, I just got mine back to the smoothness that was there before the update. I even upgraded the quality of the stream. What I did was go to the settings on the screen region, they changed some things there, so I checked optimize for motion picture, for text resize, and the other one there don't remember what it was. I also upped my resolution but put my "quality" to 1, and changed the video encoder from xsplit default to fast I think, and made my max kbp upload 500 with a buffer of 500. I have a really shitty system so if yours is better, start from there. Audio is either 32k or 16k, not very high. I will stream soon if you wanna check it out.

My bug and solution: Cant start up xsplit while my chrome is open on something, i have to close, open xsplit open browser

I was trying to figure out the best streaming resolution/quality/fps combo for my machine, and so I had several screen regions selected, though only 1 was checked. It looks like those screen regions are still being considered for capture, however, so at one point I had 5 screen regions total with 1 checked and my computer was outputting like 5 fps. If you have multiple screen regions saved, delete them, because although they aren't checked they still contribute to slowdown and I'm not sure anybody really knew this. Try to only have 1 saved screen region when streaming, and delete the ones your aren't using.

That is my results, not that good. But I am able to stream in 720p with decent quality. When the game is set on low it looks totally fine. But when I set the game to medium you will see that there is a bit lack of bandwidth. But overall it is all watchable. Settings in xsplit: Format: 1280 x 720 Quality: 7 VBV max Bitrate: 349 VBV Buffer: 698 Audio Format: 22.050 KHz, 16bit stereo Bitrate: 48000 Codec: MP3 Hope this helps someone. /Evire

I'm trying to get xsplit working but I'm having problems with sound when I have SC2 running. If I'm only running iTunes (for example), everything works great, but if I start up SC2, the sound suddenly starts to stutter, like someone talking through a fan. Any thoughts? Much obliged! Settings: Video: Format: 1280x720 Quality: 10 VBV max Bitrate: 400 Audio Format: 44.1K, 16bit stereo Bitrate: 64000 Codec: MP3 I have an i7 processor, Radeon 5870 video card, and 12 GB of RAM.
