Are you trolling me? =/ Instead of responding to my point that a countdown is excessive, you're responding to the fact that I didn't include the word "beta" in a post where everyone knows exactly what I mean -_-

Then again, I wonder how many jolly 4chan fellows are going to spam that mail with 300-word-letters consisting of "This is Spartaaaaa!", which kinda makes me happy inside. That wouldn't be douchy. ~LoA

Yeah, and I don't think anyone would bother to sift through the mountains of spam that email is about to get. And obviously if this was legit then TL would have been included ![]()

The fact I was reminding you of is that any beta opportunity is a big deal and that this one is a lot more exciting because it is open to a larger spectrum of people (rather than those who have artistic talent--a rare thing). The point is that it is the first time that these particular fansites can give their members beta keys. THAT is a lot more exciting than a fansite being able to give you a picture of a game you can't play. Do you think these sites have had anything more interesting happen to them in the last year? EDIT: for those thinking the countdown is excessive, just think of it from the site's point of view. They can rarely give their members something of real value...usually just pictures and news. If you were running a site, you would have made a HUGE deal about the fact that YOU could get your members beta keys. (although I say all this, it is under the assumption that it really IS real which has not been established. It could definitely still be an April Fools joke by the sites, but that would seem pretty distasteful to me)

Now you're just being obvious with your trolling You were good earlier. On a serious note, a lot of people complain about artistic talent being required for these competitions, but that's definitely not true if people can win with screen shots.

This counter has been picked up by every Starcraft site on the internet and tons of multi-gaming websites and they are giving everyone the impression that something actually important was going to happen. They should have announced a few days that this was not a beta announcement nor was it for the release of battle report 2. They knew they were giving everyone the wrong impression. Obviously they didn't do this because they were probably enjoying actually getting traffic for once.
