Great write up as ever! One minor mistake (I believe) is it says Inno’s last stomping of DRG was the latter’s final Code S match until July of this year.

Is that not merely prior to this upcoming match the Dong’s last playoff appearance?

Pumped for this, hopefully get two TvZ’s for the ages. Inno chasing another GSL, two military returnees and a pantomime villain in Rogue, should be tasty.

These matches should be great and for entertainment purposes I'm just hoping it leads to another TvZ. Part of me is also rooting for both Zergs just to shut up all the "Zerg is actually weak it's just Serral and Reynor are so good" people who already forgot IEM and TSL 5.

I have DRG 3 -1 Inno. DRG knows his only way to lose is if Inno can cheese or harass him, He will play safe early and then POWER ZERG stomp the Terran like in the Ro16.

Dream V Rogue can go either way. Personally I hope Dream cos he has been putting in super hard work recently.

Really looking forward to this entire top 8, just a sweet lineup.

DRG - nice to finally see people realizing that he's actually legit. Zergs have been saying for months that he's a trend setter in zerg matchups and that they are always ripping off all sort of little things from im. Furthermore his rating does - and has for a while - reflect the fact that he's a top zerg.

Innovation - When Inno is not in good form he says he's going to lose because terran is awfu.l When Inno is in great form he says terran is awful but he's going to win anyways. Inno in good form is pretty damn scary, and I fully expect him to take the series, as he is sublime in TvZ. If anyone is knocking him out I'd expect it to be a Protoss.

Dream - Dreams good. I don't think his ceiling is as high as other terrans but he's consistent AF. I expect this series to look very one sided.

Rogue - Oh boy, I can't wait for more Rogue games - where he'll look like total trash or the next GSL champ. I'd say ZvT has the least amount of room for truly abusive strats, so I'm expecitng Dream to actually manage this one.

Inno and Dream advance - cuz good patch terrans.

Something feels terribly wrong predicting Dream over Rogue. They've had 6 BoX meetings in the last year and Rogue has won all of them. Recent form, current meta, and Rogue's Ro8 curse be damned, I'll still be shocked if Dream wins.

Wow, I didn't think there was anyone left trying to make that article look credible.

Especially since part of the argument was that tip top BW players like Flash, Jaedong, Bisu, Fantasy were in a league of their own and would similarly dominate SCII.

Yeah, it also completely ignores the success of guys like Life, Maru, Parting, Dream, Taeja... The whole point of the article was not that KeSPA TEAMS/sponsors would take over, that was obvious because money, the article was supposed to be about the players and their background

The article was right about Kespa players dominating (GSL after the switch was mostly Kespa dominated with only Life, Maru and PartinG really being able to keep up) however for some reason the author was assuming that it would still be Flash, Bisu, Jaedong etc at the top and not the up-and-coming BW players like Inno, Rain, Soulkey who probably would have replaced Flash and the others at the top anyways even if they kept playing BW.

Great writeup, I am super hyped for these matches. I feel both of the matchups can go either way, I lean towards DRG and Rogue though beacuse while Dream has played great sometimes I have also seen him play mediocre its like he is not very stable. DRG has just been general beast mode, sure Inno can probably match DRG so it could go either way. Rogue can also match Dream in not being the most reliable player so yeah, don't know how this will go but I bet the games will be great!

So hyped for this! who doesn't love a top-level TvZ? I think this can go both ways though. INno is INno, but DRG is looking scary again nowdays.

3-1 INno or 3-2 DRG

Did you see Dream beating Ragnarok, sOs, DRG, Trap and Solar? While Maru got knocked out by Solar and Trap Dream went out of his group in first place against the very same opponents that defeated Maru, in the same matchups.

I can definitely see it, even if its not the result i predict.

TBH a vote for Dream is more of a vote for "Rogue is gonna cruise until Katowice 2021"

After watching the replays of last week of DRG smash facing, I felt this was the only option.

sure, but he still fairly hit or miss, and has lost each encounter he had vs Rogue, so my money is/was on Rogue. Not over yet, so let s see

Definitely my favorite Zerg now.

Ive never seen Serral get stomped. Rogue i have. Rogue's slumps are real. Serral's are non existent.
