The Chinese commenters group SCBoy just talked about the tournaments they organized in their stream. 1)The Kung Fu Cup Weekly will restart in 2020, and the schedule will ensure that it does not conflict with other matches (tentatively scheduled every Thursday) 2)The time of CTC will be determined after Blizzard announces the WCS schedule. Since that WESG and IEM will be held in March, it is likely that the new season will begin in late March or April 3)There will be a preseason game before the CTC season

Assuming they are in the know, and I see no reason to think they're not, this means there will be a WCS-circuit next year. Yay!

In fact after Dark's championship interview, Ms Smix already told us that wcs will be back in 2020.

SCBoy talked about this recently in their stream, they seem to be pretty confident that WCS is going to exist in its current form or similar form in the next 3 years

I would assume Blizzard has to keep supporting the professional StarCraft 2 scene, if not for all the other reasons, because of the Alphastar thingy? Therefore I never really doubted that WCS will be back

SCBoy saving Chinese and Korean scenes.

China Team Championship AND Kung Fu Cup??
The only sad part about CTC this year was the seeming end of those awesome weekly events, now we get both in 2020?!

Sounds good! Having team events with an offline/live component is always fun

The only sad part about CTC this year was the seeming end of those awesome weekly events, now we get both in 2020?! Because there are few mathces from Dec to March in the next year. SCBoy decided to reorganize the Kung Fu Cup to provide some chances for players (especially CN players) to compete in recent time. After CTC starts, Kung Fu Cup may suspend.

Sounds pretty cool I'd say.

That makes sense - I understood cutting back KFC because of CTC. But it's really awesome that it will be back in the down-periods of seasons, it was an awesome event and it's really nice to have weekly stuff to cast as well and for players to take part in. Don't think we ever had a KFC that disappointed.

It seems that they find a professional operating group to run Kung Fu Cup with a weekly prize pool of $400, which means KFC will not be suspended during the CTC season.
