I've been waiting this for a long time.

Team Bravestar have 3 players:Dream,Hurricane,Cyan

Rumors: KaiZi have three players: Super, Bunny and Misaki. Remains to be confirmed.

Very nice. Even with JAGW again, despite them not coming to the offline playoffs last time.

fucking awesome ^_^
I liked the old playoff format better, tho. For the viewers, the coolest thing about team league formats is when a player goes on a ridiculous rampage (yeah yeah I know teams prefer the format require even roster construction, but I don't care)
|
Absolutely amazing, thank you SCboy!
|
A big thank you to the Chinese scene.

A big issue with the old playoff format was that it just lasted way too long. I think the finals actually lasted till something like 1-2am in China.
Xiaose infamously said that “现场观众都得死” (Everyone here will die tonight from fatigue) because of how long the series was taking.

Pretty sure the finals last season dragged all the way to nearly midnight so yeah, truncating the match isn't exact a bad idea.

Huang Xudong has already realized the issue.

I wish some of these teams had their gear for sale to western fans. Those TSGaming jackets are SEXY. AS. F.

We can still have that, right? They just have to win 2 games against every opponent now.

China truly saving esports. LP even signed Happy in wc3, hopefully they can do well here.
Edit: wrong team, LF signed Happy

This is actually super big. Hopefully this tournament will be able to evolve into something like LCS/Proleague and will be a constant competition.

Wasn't there rumors of Alpha X merging with Blacknight for the CTC? Niceto see all the koreans back in Teams. I hope this League will groth and go on the next years!

Invictus should have tried to partner with Splyce or something. Things aren't gonna get easier for them with the all-Chinese line-up.

This would be so nice to have TY and Stats in this.

Oh, then I mixed that up, so Happy is not in the same team as Focus as I thought, thanks for clearing that up!

Hope there will be a team tournament/league in Asia, Europe, and American. And WCS Team Global Finals.

That's a lot of teams, still looking forward to Splyce boys getting involved tho.

This is very nice, there are more teams than in S1 and even the price pool is higher.
Do we know if the players actually get a decent salary? It seems to be the case, most of the korean pros are playing except for Dark, INno, TY, Stats and Classic - that should not have economic problems anyway.

I only know LP boss gave the players a pay rise for their excellent performance in CTC final.

It will happen.Look at the OP:

That's some really GOOD NEWS
Anyone know, if there will be a german stream, too? Or maybe community streams?

Partnering up is not allowed. We were going to do that with Chivo when they were short on players but was denied.

Team League?! TEAM LEAGUE returns?! Hold me Tasteless! This is so sick!
Who could have foreseen China propping up the scene..
|
Wow chinese league's have tons of bank lol, 14K SC2 tournament is huge!
|
It is reported that the four billionaire idiot owners/sponsors of KaiZi gaming already begin to dispute who and how much salary they would hire, and two of them declared that they just create a new team "Dragon Phoenix Gaming", aba DPG, which earns a nickname "Big Ass" from Chinese fans, to compete next season, though they have no players yet.
|
SCboy really revived SC2 in China! Without them, SC2 would be dead in China. Looking for a brilliant season 2 and hope the team championship can continue next year!
