N3rd Street Gamers announced five more Cheeseadelphia events in 2019, continuing the series of North American grassroots tournaments. Cheeseadelphia will become a part of N3rd Street Gamers' "National Championship Series," a multi-game circuit which currently includes CS:GO and Artifact.
N3rd Street Gamers will hold two Minor events, two Major events, and a NCS Grand Finals under the Cheeseadelphia name in 2019. Major events will have prize pools of $7.5~10k dollars (equivalent to previous Cheeseadelphia events), while the Grand Finals will feature a $15k prizepool.

So cool, if you think about it, this circuit has more prize money than the early MLGs. Great new for the NA scene!

That's pretty amazing to think about. Those misty-eyed "glory days" were so poorly prized AFTER they charged you like $40 (I think?) to compete/spectate. You have to wonder how things changed in that regard. Is it just that much easier for the esports industry to get funding and investment in 2019? Did MLG get away with low prizing because there were few competitors and low expectations for prizing in 2011? So many factors to consider.

If you're thinking about going then stop thinking and just go. It's worth it.

When I search for Upcoming Events --> Starcraft , no 2019 dates or locations come up.
What are the dates for these SC2 events? Without DH Austin this year, I'm thinking of traveling to one of these!

Hi! We're still working with Blizzard to figure out dates. Obviously it would be bad if we scheduled an event, reserved the venue, and then challenger got scheduled on top of it so we're avoiding that!
