I was a bit confused by the word "resigned". I thought he gave up the contract.
Then I understood he re-signed it

Is no one else concerned here that all the Korean pros are getting terminated from their teams while foreign players are re-signed/recruited? Like there are rumors of the Chinese Proleague, but from the info we have it can either be really really good or really really bad.

I am very concerned, still love Korean SC2 more than all else but it seems to be dead because of blizzards rules. Not a great way to treat the people/scene that put you on the map.

Is it really that hard to understand that SC2 in korea isn´t popular?
It´s not Blizzards fault (they´ve poured millions into Korean SC2) that not a single new korean player has broken into the top in years. Its because no kids are playing the game.

Thats not true, if anything thousands of new players came to sc2 since F2P but maybe 10 people out of 1000 can get in GM level within the first couple months. If you're completely new to RTS then forget about it, if you have some background like age of empires, war3, then you'll grind relatively quickly to diamond masters first couple months but GM? You gotta have broodwar background AND put in HOURS to be at pro level. EVEN then, you gotta love the game enough and rely on its salary/income to decide to put school/job aside to commit.

Dont believe me? (I dont have the #'s but im sure someone at blizz can back me up) Take a player like Namshar or Keen for example, they never really "quit" the game but they are still pro level and top tier within their region...but for KOREA...how successful could you be when the tournament is for 32 players....then u play vs ONE guy and try to get into top 16. Your chance is pretty much over then, bcuz of players like Zest, Maru, SoS, Dark, Soo, Stats, Classic.....etc. They're ALL waiting for to crush your pro gaming dreams.

That's why you see the SAME people over and over cuz they're so fkn good and in reality it's not possible to beat them consistently cuz they're still playin and IMPROVING daily still. New maps, new balance changes....they are on top of everything.

So, when you dont see new TOP players, it's no surprise. Same with NBA, it's a 5v5 game but if it was a 3v3 or 1v1 game and you see players like Lebron, Kobe, Durant, etc. waitin. Why try? Go back to school and get a regular 9-5 job is probably a better option than tryin to become an NBA pro.

Well I dont know what they pay him but its not like a team house, Namshar (and most europeans) lives at home and practice from home.
I'd guess they help with travel (on the other hand a lot of tournaments pay for travel if you qualify) and such but I would be very surprised if these contracts are on a level of what proleague was.

"Resigned" vs "Re-signed" always confuses people--"re-singed" avoid the confusion but is somewhat concerning.
