Man they got Fallen and Taco to vote for Khalazur ok good. But really really. The terra representative would not even get a map out of Koreans so it doesn't matter. And khelazur is not a bad non korean player on top of that

Kelazhur is a great guy and very active in social medias. We are probably gaining some future members in the community, which is good in terms of viewership and, therefore, for sponsorship and for prizes for players, quality of games etc. Kelazhur is also the only player to have won a match in GsL vs the world last year. And his results the last 2 WCS circuits don't tell the level of his actual game, he lost to Serral (who hasn't) and went 2x3 against Has (who won 2x1 against Special)... So if you're worried about him being the chosen one, don't be. He's a very good choice, for both game quality and comunity growth.

I mean, if it brings in more Brazilian and Taiwanese viewers, the better. If even a few thousand of them stay, that's a big win. If Blizzard really wanted the best, they would have done a qualifier. And in part the 4 selected from wcs points it's just that.

I suspect because some of the Brazillians went out of their way to sign up for a TL account, that many of them will tune it at least to watch Kelazhur. Growing the SC2 community is always a good thing. It's unfortunate for HeroMarine and UThermal if they miss out. But you need to look at this from the longer term perspective. If the SC2 community grows, that means more sponsors, and more funding for professional players. If you want to watch pro SC2, it's important that SC2 viewership grows and the community grows. Otherwise, sponsors will leave, there will be less tournaments organized, and pro players will retire because they can't make enough money. If SC2 viewership keeps shrinking, there won't be a pro scene anymore. So let's see if the Brazillian viewers tune in. (Disclaimer: I voted for HeroMarine and not Kelazhur, but if there is an increase in Brazillian viewership, I'm fine with it)
