I still think + Show Spoiler + Stats Since the dead-line is tomorrow and you are to submit your players in IEM, I thought that you should only include players that are still in the IEM at the dead-line. An analogy: it seems strange to me to say that INnoVation is the best player in the code S. He is knocked out now, but he was participating earlier. At the moment + Show Spoiler + Stats

The OP, The_Red_Viper, really dropped the ball this time It maybe should have been, but i really wanted to do it after gsl ro16 is done for example. Now people can include the resuls of the open brackets for their list as well if they want to, which is only one aspect though and i don't agree with "he is out he cannot be the in a PR for the event anymore". The best player definitely could lose before with bad luck, etc.

The best player definitely could lose before with bad luck, etc. I thought you set the dead-line this late in order for people to read the TL staff PR before making up their own mind, not for them to include the results of the open bracket. Also, I like your sentiment regarding good players being knocked out. Losing a couple of games doesn't mean that they are losing their touch. No player has a 100% win rate. Byun was close with his 30+ straight wins in 2016, not a single game lost in official matches. A 70% win rate is awesome. A 71% win rate was possible for losers in the open bracket. 1-2 loss in the first round. 2-0 wins until losers' bracket final. 1-2 loss to be knocked out. 10-4 game record and still losing. + Show Spoiler + Bunny had a 9-4 record and Scarlett had a 9-5 record while losing. 69% and 64% respectively. Compare that to the qualified players from the losers' bracket (winners' bracket had only 3 matches): Ryung 8-4 67% True 8-6 57% SpeCial 9-4 69% Neeb 10-4 71% Bunny and Scarlett were quite close to these players in win percentage. Mean for Bunny and Scarlett: 67% Mean for Ryung, True, SpeCial and Neeb: 66% True had so many 2-1 series. He made the mean of advancing players go below the mean of these two non-advancing players.

It's also not completely worthless either way because strictly speaking the event starts tomorrow (though ideally i would have liked it to have been out before the open qualifiers as well) The problem with the community PR is that i have to give people enough time to make up their mind, otherwise i get like 10 lists. Again, this is no competition either ![]()
