Just look at what BGH style maps have done to sc. Those are the mass players, and they are the majority, and these people are most likely going to be the ones they're catering too. Low end, unethical hacking newbies. | ||

Are you sure you can see from way up there? I don't think BGH or even Fastest has done any harm to StarCraft. For every player that decides not to play real maps because fastest is out there's another player who is drawn into the game because of maps like that, who otherwise wouldn't have started playing. For the most part (generalization), people that play those maps have lower APMs and are of a lower skill level on all maps, so it's not taking away any real competition. All they do (like UMS) is offer a different type of game to suit the needs of different people's tastes. There's enough bandwidth on battle.net for everyone, not just low-min players. And unless you can find provide evidence suggesting a correlation between high-min maps and hacking, there's no reason to say there is (and your obvious bias would suggest that it's just general disdain for them/ignorance). | ||
