That's cool... but does some guy from a newspaper really know that it's going to be sc2? I mean, seems like they would have as much as an idea about it as we do. I still think it's going to be sc2 though. On a sidenote, wouldn't it be crazy if they announced the game, and that the release date was really soon? Like it's been in secret production for a couple years already or something =] I guess the motivation for Blizzard to do something like that would be to keep players of the original sc playing, and not just "waiting for sc2 to come out."
I agree, the journalist is probably going to ask Peter whether it is SC they are going to announce or not 
We are the first line of intel concerning that announcement.

i'm 100% sure it's gonna be SC 2. idk why there are still rumors like sc mmo and whatnot when good fifo sources have told us that theres sc 2 in development and that there is gonna be another race called kerrigan and such. i forgot who translated the fifo article, but from that point on, i didn't care much about reading other sc2 rumor threads. the article itself said the sources were realiable. just believe it. it's fighterforum >_<

omfg, it has been YEARS that i've been looking forward to this announcement... if it is indeed SC2, i'm going to be monitoring every speck of detail about the game for the next months!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It won't be D3. That type of game would detract more WoW subscriptions from people moving to D3 than other game types, RTS, FPS.
Hope it is thou because i would be much more excited about D3 than anything.
Edit: Don't think the theme being starcrafty is any clue. It definately looks more SCish than other games, but in general www.blizzard.com and www.battle.net have had more of SC theme to them for a long time.

Yes it is.
So that means the background isnt slowly revealing itself; its just a very dark splash of their respective games. Which makes sense, since the one for SC looks like the staredit pic, with the glare behind a planet.
