(b) GSL vs. the World. This event will offer no points. That's little solace given the fact that a player like ByuN, who has done nothing all year, is going to get a crack at 100,000 prize pool over other equally or even more deserving players because, you know, popularity contest. Like I said, I agree. If he qualified by his own merit that'd be fine. But there's no way he loses a popularity vote, and that's just unfair (especially given the person this impacts the most is, in fact, the reigning GSL champion). The same thing is going to happen with Zerg. I think it's pretty safe to assume that a lot of fans with short memories will vote for Dark even though he hasn't done anything to warrant the spot. which Zerg is currently better than Dark? (except soO of course)
ByuL and Solar are on the same level as him.

I considered mentioning Rogue (who I personally voted for), but he's been exhibiting this high level of play for a very short period of time which I feel puts him below Solar and ByuL, both of whom have both posted above average results on and off over the entire calendar year.

ByuL isn't doing that great atm though, didn't qualify for IEM or GSL and lost his first 2 SSL matches. I wouldn't give him particularly good odds to qualify if you had them play for the spots. But yeah Dark definitely isn't as uncontested on the Zerg throne as last year. Not by a long shot.

Is there a way of checking how does the voting goes so far?

I wonder what format the teamleague will be, if they go all-kill, any one of the Korean team will be able to just casually solo the foreigners. But if they go Proleague, the Koreans are all Proleague veterans so....
Yeah, Team World is screwed.

disapointed by deciding the players for this tournament by votes :/
i was expecting a qualifier but i guess if this isnt giving WCS points its more like a showmatch .... but still *sigh*. oh the team part of the event will be awesome :D duckloadRa #neverforget

So has anyone found a solution to the log in problem or are we just hoping Blizz fixes it?

The whole voting ordeal is just broken atm. Can't vote, view results, or anything. I suppose it's just overloaded atm.

SOLUTION TO THE LOG IN BUG!
It has something to do with your portrait. If you are using a newer portrait like the WCS ones, change it in game to an older one, then try logging out and back in online.
