They are "banned" in the sense they must have a proper visa and I think live in non-KR regions. This has been a rule since last year.

In the WCS Circuit only Koreans who are living outside of Korea with a proper visa are allowed to play. Right now that's only TRUE, since Polt retired. Not sure what Violet is up to though, he should be allowed to play as well.

Im kinda disappointed since I tried to return the game from several years break. Now I see there a tournaments with lower level players and artificial area limitations...its not really a top level tournament? No entertaining matches either.

Lol just watch Korean sc2 thats all, GSL, SSL and VSTL are packed with epic, high quality games. Although DH A has some strong europeans like ShowTime, Nerchio, Snute etc.
