I'm actually surprised that Ogaming has only 1 week of stream as they are running live continuously during the month. Sometimes it's a player stream but most of the time it's events or rebroadcast of events, with still around 200 viewers for the latter.

I looked into this, and it seems that for *very* long streaming sessions (such as OGaming's) the database couldn't actually hold all the information, and thus uptime was underreported. I've updated everything so at least the streaming times will be correct, but in some rare cases (0,05% of all sessions) the V*H/average/peak metrics might be off (they won't be in the future, now I've corrected the problem).

Wardi higher then ESL & WCS! This guy has become 1 of my favorite casters & works his butt off because he loves the game. He recently crossed the 100 subscribers on twitch benchmark & deserves more viewers & support in my opinion, & I was glad to see him move up the rankings like he did.

Here's to another month of Wardi casting events & finding success!

Winter was cleared by Twitch and Blizzard of viewbotting.

Only TL seemed to punish him seemingly without hard evidence.

Either way, he is very entertaining and makes the game relaxing.

He wasnt cleared at all. He cannot be banned without proof of purchasing the viewbots himself. Therefore, Blizzard cannot disqualify him since those were twitch awards.

Also could you post the stats with the numbers of hours instead of days? number of hours are much easier to read than days in my opinion, Twitch stats and conti used this metric and it was great! thanks

The numbers in the far right column seem backwards to me, I feel like Scarlett should be +69, not -69.

List is incorrect, just because you don't like a certain streamer for political reasons or Blizzard reasons does not mean you get to ignore them. Protech has been streaming with higher numbers and longer hours than majority of those people on your list and he is not included?

Come on now.

Maybe you should read the list again?

Winter is just better at creating a community base of viewers and we all need to recognize his unique form of genius; no one else can contribute so little while having so many viewers! I was thinking Winter should offer a seminar series about how to build a community/viewer base. His "viewers" are all so well behaved, quiet, and totally silent in chat as well.. it really and truly is an amazing miracle. and i'm being as honest as Winter with these platitudes!

the guy made an honest mistake with BaseTradeTV that I noticed and politely informed him of. The guy voluntarily created this list with his own efforts. Just be polite about it like i was and leave it at that man. Unless you think he has some hidden agenda against BaseTradeTV that is.

Lighten up dawg and give the man time to correct any mistake he may have made before lobbing grenades at him.

Yeh he puts in 'so little'. All these other streamers who put in 10% of the stream time deserve more regular viewers than him!

I watched winter stream for the longest time without ever coming to the online forums so I remained oblivious about all the drama surrounding him for the longest time. Still don't care much about it either way. I enjoy watching his stream and in the end that's all that matters to me

What probably happened is that MaNa also streamed one or more events during April (see his profile; he streamed quite a few), and event streams aren't included in the stats on this list (as Conti never included them either) but they are on the site. So there might be some differences due to that. I'll add an extra note next time to explain the difference, or maybe add a switch on the site so you can view event-less rankings as well (though that'd be a bit more work).

Not sure what you're getting at here - my goal is precisely *not* to exclude anyone, as I mentioned in the OP. There was a mistake in the script that generated the list before that bumped some people a few places lower than they should've been, but that has mostly been corrected in the meantime. (Protech is in the list - at #8).

Again, thanks everyone for the feedback (and the TL gold!) - as I mentioned in the OP this thread was something of a "beta test" and has helped me identify some flaws and opportunities for improvement that I'll make sure to address for May's list. Stay tuned for that

I would suggest removing "stickyrice1" as he was banned from twitch for viewbotting/fraud.

As I said, there were some problems with OGaming's extremely long streaming sessions that figured into the stats. I've identified the problem and it won't occur again, and I hope to be able to fix the stats in this thread as well (I need to recalculate a lot of stuff for that though, which is why I haven't done so yet).

I'm not surprised, really. Viewers don't get invested in a game they don't themselves play, no matter how many cool Michael Bay explosions David Kim adds to the game, or how much the skill floor is raised so that you can't even play the game at a baseline level until Master league.

Minecraft regularly gets more views than Starcraft 2, despite being a year older than it and having absolutely terrible graphics. The reason for this is that the core gameplay is more accessible to... everyone, while the skill ceiling is actually pretty high. It might not have the competitive skill ceiling of competitive games like Starcraft 2, but the wonders that Minecrafters create require a different but no less high level of skill.

Let me repeat that: A game that is older than Starcraft 2 and has shitter graphics than Starcraft 1 gets more regular viewers than Starcraft 2.
"The drums! The drums! The drums! The neverending drumbeat! Open me, you human fool! Open the light and summon me and receive my majesty!"
