All-star match on March 27th will feature invited Korean players versus the top finishers from WCS China.

Oh how gracious of you. How kind

I hope KeSPA fucking boycotts this. I really do

Imo the koreans should only start with 6 workers. Its just not right for our boys to lose to non WCS players after winning/placing high in a prestige tournament like this.

I think we should not bash the chinese here for the WCS system. After all, they are kinda fighting the system on their own by giving us a showmatch with Koreans in it and possibly giving them money.

Only 16 players?

So the invited player are in the money and points without doing anything?

There is already a WCS rule that invited players must advance one round to receive WCS points.

So are they ever going to have a WCS global event? Is it too much to ask?

Kinda disappointed the Koreans only get to feature in an allstar match tbh, would have much preferred them being involved in the actual tournament and not a side event.

Opposite for me, I don't wanna see koreans crush foreigners all day long so this is imho a good mixup. If this happens regularly we will be able to see if the foreign scene is able to improve (or the koreans are able to decline )

Yes, but we have enough wcs circuit events right now(dreamhack, iem), surely you won't mind one wcs global event in midst of all this?

How much are the Koreans getting pay? For showing up and/or tournament prize money?

Don't you think it's more likely for foreigners to improve, when they face Koreans in tournaments regularly? There is no real other way to train against Koreans for Europeans, other than offline events, since the ping to KR server is terrible. I think the disparity between Koreans and foreigners will get even bigger with the new WCS system.

Should be "Gold Series International 2016".
Maru and Serral are probably top 5.

Should be Gold Series International 2016, at least that is what I was told, no idea why it isn't mentioned in the press release, probably not finalized?

this is so funny to me. It's in China and anyone from any region can play... except the Koreans who are right next door.

it would be just unfair they are too good. What's the point of having a tournament where some players are better than others?
Koreans should either start sucking or stay in korea.

I wonder who they are going to invite because in this system any invites besides Korean ones will be unfair. They can't invite Bly and PtitDrogo for DH finals because of "Rich get richer" and they shouldn't invite guys for no reason so they have bigger chances than the rest of us as well. Kind of worried about it.

Nice to see more tournaments but can´t shake the feeling of BS that koreans are not allowed in.

How do you want to develop the foreign scene with only 8 online qualifiers spots for a 50K$ tournament? ):

Koreans should either start sucking or stay in korea.

How about we allow Koreans to play, but with a disadvantage? Like, have the Korean's units have 70% health.
Hell we could even implement an ELO system, and the favored player would get a unit health malus depending on the difference between his ELO and his opponent's. Such genius !
