The server is in NA (not EU). But the ping from EU to NA is a lot lower than KR to NA. I think MarineLord played godly but I can't help thinking of the possibility that Parting and Innovation might have had someone else play on their behalf due to their timezone. There were so many instances where I was going "no way he would suicide like that".

I realize this probably isn't the place to have this discussion, but lag and lack of sleep don't enable a person to go 21-2 against the best players in the world. It's an incredible achievement no matter how you swing it. On January 04 2016 17:23 arbi wrote: There were so many instances where I was going "no way he would suicide like that". I definitely saw those instances myself, but I also saw a few situations where innovation had no choice but to risk an all-or-nothing scenario. It's a huge stretch to say that lag and lack of sleep had everything to do with MarineLord's score, but it's just as much of a stretch to say that it was skill that carried him. When people who care are confronted with two equally probable outcomes, the tendency can be to choose whichever is most convenient for them without any further consideration. My point is, wanting South Korea to win doesn't entitle us to reject the outcome and go crusading around the internet trying to discredit France, because no matter how much thought the community puts into it, we'll never really know the circumstances that determined who won. If we can't accept the score for what it is, then we damage the integrity of the competition itself, which is bad for the community -- not just the contestants. In my opinion, our best bet is to wait to see how MarineLord does in LAN matchups.

Also funny how only Nerchio and Huk managed to take a game away from MarineLorD. Since Canada technically gave France the most trouble in the entire tournament, I wonder how well Canada would have done vs the other nations in the playoff.
