The issue runs deeper than just the number of tournaments. I would argue that 2013 and 2014s 3 premiers, even without end of season WCS events, would be preferable to the 4 we have now. Not only will there be a massive break between the two seasons, but the two tournaments we have run concurrently. That means anyone who hasn't adjusted to LOTV yet, anyone who's taking a break, anyone who's just having a rough TWO WEEKS, will have their results impacted for 50% of the years tournaments. Not even 33% as it would have been back in 2013. But wait there's still Blizzard's cross tournament! Not if you don't play the other tournaments there isn't. Blizzcon? Good luck racking up enough points when you've missed two seasons and the cross tournament based on two weeks. I don't know who or why thought it was a good idea for SSL and GSL to run concurrently if we lose two tournaments and half of every SSL besides. I was never huge on Proleague but this year I don't think I'll have a choice. | ||
