I expected it for Leenock. Kinda had a feeling about KeeN aswell. Good team for them, I think. Are there any well known/good free agents left for Proleague teams to pick up at this point? Or will we see some new blood on teams with small lineups?

Keen should have a tough time getting fielded, but LotV might be good for someone who likes shenanigans.

DRG wants to play WCS though.

I dunno, KeeN is probably better than most players on SBENU (especially the non-Zergs), I think he'll be fielded a good amount of times. Better to switch the lineup every now and then anyway.

I think SBENU's main goal is to assemble all the good WoL players and become sort of the SC2 seniors team.

This is nice. I like them both, and I think both will be fielded with some regularity.

I think that's an unfair assessment. There aren't a plethora of available, good Koreans available anymore. In my opinion, 95% of the best Koreans are on KeSPA teams. The rest are foreign (Polt, Hydra, Rain, Soulkey, PartinG, etc.).

KeeN, though he hasn't been showing good stats in the past couple of years, can be a solid Terran in the proper practice environment. Which can be said about any other player.

Leenock was one of Startale's best players in the early rounds, before they became SBENU.

And just because they're not on a team, doesn't mean they're junk or not looking to play internationally.

Kinda unrelated, but do we know if there will be an eighth team to replace Prime yet?

I like both Leenock and KeeN. Hope they will do well in Proleague 2016.

SBENU needs to enlist one or two Protoss players next. I can't see StuN or Ssoja getting much playtime.
Stopped watching ESL content in 2022 when the company was acquired by Savvy Gaming Group. Also object to sponsorships by the U.S. Air Force. Thanks for the lively discussions about sportswashing. StarCraft II is not for me anymore.

Leenock was one of their best players last season overall and KeeN was the best player on Prime by many miles. Those aren't junk players. Not to mention, what else would they do? Buy out big name players from bigger teams? Probably not.

Good for SBENU, KeeN was the only actually solid player on Prime last season and I'm happy he'll be on a team with a chance. Like check out this VOD of him against Life. Anyone else on Prime would have been dead within 10 minutes.

SBENU does still need a Protoss though...

Looking forward to seeing what SBENU and co can do next year. Looking forward to seeing more KeeN too, he seemed to take the "Creator" role after he left Prime.

Yeah, how's that going for him?

Oh DRG... why you throw away a real career for a phantasmal mirage?

Grats to Leenock and KeeN, I hope these two old dogs have some deep runs left in them yet. KeeN had way too much swag to not leave a real mark on the scene.

Leenock got some pretty experience in Proleague this year! Good for both of them. Still this team need some good protoss for a good race balance, too many terrans and zergs.

Was just a mercenary for the team, he was on YoeFW. He also played as a mercenary for StarTale before they became Sbenu. Used to play with Life before Life ditched and went to KT

However he has also been living in the Sbenu house for quite a long time so the move just makes sense. I think he was looking for a foreign team actually and jsut be a mercenary for proleague. Gives the best of two worlds for him as it also makes him able to travel abroad for tournaments which is going to be more difficult now. But the foreign teams thing is quite dead in sc2 nowadays
