I'm sad to see him go, but I hope he's feeling proud to be retiring as not only one of the best of all time, but one of the most beloved as well.

I'm sure we'll see plenty more of him, even if it's no longer as a competitor.

This really sucks because he showed as recently as season 1 that he could make a deep run in Korea still just based on his wily tricks and experience. If he had a solid practice regime he could have remained a contender. Hopefully he comes back for LoTV.

Could you elaborate on that? How do foreigners in WCS effect MC living alone and not being able to practice because of that?

This is probably the first retirement post that hits me really hard. Normally it's from guys who phased slowly out of the picture anyway. MC has done so much in Starcraft. I always felt like even if he was sometimes not in top form he could still win a match against any player at any time. It seemed like he had a hundred different buildorders ready at any moment. So many times he made things work that you'd think 'this is never going to happen' and then boom he made it happen. He was also one of the first koreans who really tried to learn/speak english to foreign fans. He's been relevant in the top of the scene since the start of Starcraft II, so he's had a very good run.

I hope he gets a nice TL farewell article

Very sad, I hope he gets picked by a team soon or he returns to a team with PartinG as his guide back to SC2.

MC style requires a ton of practice since it's based on timings and all-ins I guess....
