Wow, Chinese stepping up in Proleague. That's super cool. Chinese SC2 is fun, now imagine that in Proleague where the sickest builds can snipe/bring a victory, and boom!

Jim took a map off Maru without even using a snipe build this year. So at the very least it's gonna be interesting to see what they'll do.

It's just a Proleague alliance it would seem. So more like Liquid HerO and TaeJa supporting MVP.

Cuz there is a small distance between KR and China. Where are they staying in KR?

They'll stay with Prime for at least Round 3, if the partnership went through to Round 4, iAsonu might join them as well. iG players will add Prime to their id tag in domestic and international tournaments from now on.

They won't have a chance.

At least Jim is strong enough to get a map win every now and then. And who knows what crazy snipe builds Chinese players pull off <.<

you really think so? These are -foreigners- we're talking about.

stephano was like 6-5 in proleague.

Jim, MacSec and XY are not Stephano. But yeah I think they'll get a win from time to time. Prime was forced to make a move to improve, there weren't a lot of solutions available.

"This partnership provides Prime with two unorthodox Protoss players that could serve as powerful replacements for MyuNgSiK. The Chinese players will also move to South Korea and reside in the Prime house to further their development as players and facilitate simpler travel to and from the Proleague studio. iAsonu, notable for winning the most recent Golden Professional League and being one of China's top Zerg players, will not be part of the joint roster for round three as the game takes a back seat to his education for now, but will join the roster if the partnership continues into round 4."

It's been too long since we had foreigners go to train in Korea, this will be interesting to see what they do. Either way, it isn't a yoe thing where the foreigners never actually play

Would be cool to see them get some wins, but i'm expecting them to end up with a combined record of 2-15 or something

You guys really think that Jim sucks compared to Zoun or BboongBboong?
One thing is losing more matches than you win, another is not being useful for Prime.

Excellent news. Anything helping the rag-tag bottom teams be less bottom is great to me. Makes for a more interesting tournament if it's not just a 4 team tournament (KT, SKT, CJ, Jin Air) with 4 token bottom feeders.

I could see Jim and Macsed being part of the rotating 4th guys on the roster. But I can't imagine XY getting any playtime.

The real question will be can any of them qualify for season 3 of GSL/SSL

Could see a rotation of Creator, YoDa, Zoun, Jim and B4. Or they just go for the chinese marketing money and always play their chinese guys.

Even as a practice partners is a very good for the Chinese players.

From Liquipedia article on Lx:
During a Chinese interview after departing from SK Telecom T1, Lx said the inability to participate in intricate strategic discussions and mentoring due to language barriers was his greatest problem during his progaming life in Korea. Lx said his skilled improved drastically when he began training in the pro house and used to beat Fantasy and BeSt at a regular basis. However after a while he felt a stagnation of his progress and skill while Fantasy continued to improve due to mentoring. Lx mentioned that his skill would've progressed a lot further and would most likely stay in Korea if he had learned the Korean language.

I wonder how they're going to tacle the language issue this time. Learning Korean will take some time.

Different times, nowadays a lot of korean pros knows some basic English so communicating isn't as hard as it used to be.

That sounds like some kind of buzzfeed clickbait title.

Cool to see Prime again partnering with the Chinese community. Hopefully it gives them a little bit more roster depth and a shot at taking some more maps.

Lastly, someone please tell us if Byun is still on Prime.
