I hope SBENU players will take off their SBENU shoes when playing to put them on the desk d: And yeah RIP StarTale. StarTaleSbenu would have been cool.
Just "Sbenu"? or Sbenu Startale? Just Sbenu as a name is kinda.. meh. Doesn't really sound that good. Either way, looks like Sonic dropped a lot of money, that's awesome.
Names are not important, the big thing is that they will likely get some money for that and such awesome players that are on the roster surely deserve it. Now also with DRG!
Although StarTale is an iconic name in SC2 most of the big teams (actual teams, not clans) have the primary sponsor in their name. Sbenu Startale would just be awkward so I can understand just going with that name.
Was waiting for this to happen a few years ago. It baffled me to see that teams like StarTale, IM, MVP, Prime, etc never got "picked up" by good companies. I got pissed off when LG's sponsorship for IM led to LG-IM tagging.... All that led me to believe was that LG was not committed to IM and as time passed that proved to be true. Baffled me even more when teams like Woongjin and Wemade got rid of their eSports teams (I understand the timelines are different, but I'm organizing by significance) (STX doesn't count, they went under). The Dark Ages arrived where eSports was being run by MOBA games and good investors didn't want to get involved.
Now, as with any Dark Ages, this could be the signs of an enlightenment into glory, or an enlightenment that'll lead back into another Dark Age.
New nations will coexist, and fully operational entities will run side by side, independent of each other but thriving in the same environment. Hoping more companies pick up more teams (MVP and Prime, or dare I say a replacement for the one of these to fall off first) and more eSports investments are made with more confidence.
P.S. I wonder what SBENUs mascot is/is going to be?

And "Samsung Galaxy KHAN" sounds pretty damn awkward by keeping its given name. Honestly, it sounds much better as "Samsung Galaxy" or just simply "Galaxy". I could dig some sort of name that goes with Sbenu to make it sound a bit better, because that's kind of a clunky word for anglophones, as we don't place Bs after Ses normally. Maybe Sbenu Style or something along that general riff.
I'm actually really happy that the name is even interesting. Sure we have a lot of people in this thread going "how do you say SBENU," but for whatever reason I find it incredibly charming to have a combination of letters we don't typically have as part of a team sponsor name. It makes it just a little more fun.

SBENU is a fresh name. Startale sounds like the title of a children book. It sucks. SBENU SBENU SBENU SBENU just rolls off the tongue

The company's product line that is sponsoring Khan is Samsung Galaxy. Samsung TVs and laptops etc are not included. It's basically Samsung Mobile Khan, but Samsung's mobile division is labeled Galaxy. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Because of that, I don't think your argument against Samsung's team name isn't really valid, but I am waiting to hear what SBENU's mascot will be.
