Wow, this is a pretty sick week.
- SGK breaking from the usual Z/P-heavy lineup and going full-Terran. Also, GUILTY! They really want that playoff spot. rip Dark
- Marineking is back o.O. Also, KT vs MVP looks competitive and is very important for a playoff spot. Might actually come down completely to that match.
- Don't think CJ is getting that 7-0. All their draws suck except ByuL's and even that's tough. ByuL himself has a difficult match to try and secure that direct qualification into Kespa Cup

The main question, I think, is should people trade CJ to KT? CJ has 1st place in the pocket, so they don't have that big motivation, while KT really needs to win 3-0. And, more importantly, they have a potential to do so.

It's pretty common that players who play in a tournament the Friday (also the weekend if there are finals going on I guess) before SPL don't get fielded tho. (although KT generally doesn't care that much and even fielded hung over Life after the GSL finals <.<)

Yeah, but they want to get the third place - it is 61 points instead of 51, don't forget that. Assuming SKT vs Samsung will be unpredictable, KT would really like to go swift 3-0

Outside of finals I never noticed. Given his value to SKT and the fact that they are facing elimination this still comes as a surprise. Not to mention sOs, Flash, Dark, and ByuL are all playing too.

Well SKT vs Samsung happens the day before KT vs MVP so they'd know the exact score they need for 3rd and give everything they can to reach that. Obviously they always want to 3-0, but that's not as easy :/.

That's the most important match for CJ. It will be up to ByuL to bounce back after herO gets proxy gated and doesn't scout it. Else all responsibility lies with Hush to beat Rogue. <.<

SKT vs Samsung seems pretty neat if only to judge Samsung's terran trio and maybe get a pretty cool ZvZ.
Prime vs ST-yoe is gonna be super cool and about as awful-by-lineup as you'd expect a match to see who'll be 0-7 (for the first time since 2010, mind you) would be.
KT vs MVP is pretty hype. If Panic wins I'm a god, if Panic/Zest/Life wins I'm gonna go crazy.
Jin Air vs CJ obviously best match of the week. I think Jin Air wins, but I do think it's pretty close. It's basically three 50-50 matches (albeit Maru vs ByuL is 55-45 and Cure vs Bbyong is 45-55 - they even themselves out) alongside one match that Rogue should just win.

proleague is such an awesome tournament - it's almost impossible to have a week with one super sick match between top tier players. An offline tournament with half of the great matchups a regular proleague round is pretty awsome already
Also glad marineking is back, it would be great to see a late-game scenario - Also maru v byul, and watching sOs play is always extremely entertaining. Who is this Guilty guy? Never heard of him before

Except for last 2 weeks MK has been fielded everytime, he's the core of the team and it goes beyond his personal result, he's like Flash for KT, he's fielded no matter what.
And liquidHerO may not be as important for the team.
And maybe they think it's the last opportunity to show that they do trust MK and he's not banned from the line up.

Since this is the most adequate thread for it, have a random factoid. This is how the SPL r2 page currently looks. Note how it has CJ seeded as first into the r2 playoff finals. On an interesting note, that is technically incorrect, they could still get 2nd, if two conditions are met. Number 1, JAGW beats CJ 3-0 on Tuesday. Number 2, CJ gets a map penalty for something. In that case, both teams are at 6-1 with +10 indicator points (map score). In that case it would be either that JAGW gets first (more map wins and won the direct match between the two teams) or they play a tie breaker. <.<
Anyways, just wanted to share. This will probably not become relevant. I don't see these conditions being met.

So I have Innovation and Hurricane to get rid of. But I need a Terran. So the obvious choice would be to trade Innovation for Dream, but BravO is one not such an easy opponent.
But I could trade InnoVation for Classic on Deadwing vs Journey too, which feels like a much safer pick. But then I need to trade Hurricane for a Terran, which would be Yoda or Guilty. But even with the new patch and even if Dark isn't prepared for some Mecharino, I don't see Guilty beating Dark.
Yoda vs Curious would be really interesting, because Yoda has already shown prepatch that he is well versed vs Mech and has beaten soO. But Expedition Lost is probably the hardest map to try and go full turtlemech on vs Zerg and so many Korean Terrans have done some stupid 2base tank/marine build there that has never worked, that I feel really wonky about trusting Yoda in that game.
Hence, Dream is still probably the better choice for Innovation, which lets me pick any race for the hurricane trade. So I could also pick Curious, Pet, Creator or San. None of which have an easy game either... Maybe pick San?
