At the same time, we've had a small exodus of upper tier SK/KT pros leaving for what seems to a more free lifestyle (judging by the interviews at least). My question is, did Startale benefit from Life joining KT, and by that I mean get a huge payoff? Back when KeSPA teams were signing ESF players, there was no protection for the teams, but now that Startale is in KeSPA, do they benefit from the same protection that SKT did when Parting left?

No, but really. Is this the end of Flash? He'll have to compete with TY, Zest, Stats, First and now Life for lineup space in SPL. Zerg problems solved for KT. Also sad that yet another long time pillar of a team is gone. Not much identity for teams anymore, too much shuffling :/

That could very well be the case as I don't think life would be willing to give up all that foreign money when he is dominating right now in every scene including Korea. I imagine that besides IEM Katowice, KT will want Life to focus on Korea; he has the opportunity to win dual starleagues, and such a feat would immensely boost KT's prestige as well as public perception of their business acumen. This is sad for me as a ST fan (and generally a KT h8r) but interesting stuff

Man this makes me really really sad. I mean it's great for Life I guess since he's probably making bank now. But Startale was just such an awesome team, I hate to see this happen when core members like Parting and Bomber were sort of returning.
