In Tours? So random

Tours is much cheaper than Paris and is a nice city. The only possible issue is that it's far from a big airport, but the train coverage is decent.

Not really an issue because even if the direct tgv line will always be cheaper, you can go to Tours from Rome/Berlin and land at the local airport for less than 250€

Shit, I might try and find a way to go to this from Canada. French audiences are usually so awesome.

There's only one question I've unsure of: With our new status within the DreamHack organization, will that mean fewer players in the event?

Having more or less players doesn't change much the cost of the event, does it? I think maybe we'll get less broadcasted matches in the early stages, but then we still have community casters to make up for it.

it depends what you're excepting. Cashprize was a little bit less at Fragbite Masters S3 so you can expect the same players and a little bit more^^

I really want it to be great but a BYOC tournament is annoying if that is the pro tournament (and from what I ve heard it is). I dont think many foreigners will attend if they have to bring their own computer with them.

Also chosing Tours s a bit random...even if I know it s mainly for budgetary reasons. Anyways, hopefully it ll end up being a great tournament and not like most French LANs (I m looking at you, GA!).

TL meet-up anyone?

Are you entirely sure? This is not the feedback I got from the French pro-scene unless things have changed really recently.
Then again, I ll wait for a proper announcement.

EDIT: point being: there is always a BYOC tournament at DH and it s great cuz a lot of people can play. But will there be another tournament that won't be BYOC? If you or anybody can confirm this (with source) I d be happy

EDIT2: your OP is very clear. The site is not that clear actually. Anyways that s great news, can't wait to see the player's list

I'll definitely be there!

For the casters, I'm torn between having French casters that can bring the hype to the crowd (especially people who don't know much about SC2), and having English casters who will provide better analysis of the (hopefully) top-tier games.

I remember DH Moscow, where only Smix was on-site, and the panel was in Stockholm. It felt a little weird from a stream viewer point of view.

Why not just have French casters for the live audience and English ones for the stream? Just too many people to hire?

That's kind of what they did in Moscow, having Russian casters on-site.
The English casters were not able to interact with the local crowd, and Smix had a hard time engaging with the audience imo.

Haha remember "repeet plz" I hope I'm remembering that right

Dreamhack is still (a very big) LAN. The BYOCs are amateur leagues, Lan-Party Style.
CS:GO and SC II will be professional tournaments.

I hope they'll cast in french on the main stage. English speaking people will be fine with a piggyback broadcast.
