Today mYinsanity has to announce the departure of one of our most loyal and successful members to date. With StarDust we are losing not only a great player but also a good friend, whom we will always remember. Where would mYinsanity be now without StarDust? We can’t tell, but he certainly helped our team becoming what we are now. Starting with his unexpected victory at Dreamhack: Summer 2013 up to taking the championship at the WCS Europe 2014 Season 2, he scored a slew of great results under mYinsanity. With his omnipresence in the European Starcraft 2 scene he quickly became the face of our Starcraft 2 Division.

He said it's not the end, so, no
EDIT- in addition
mYinsanity and StarDust part ways amicably; after one and a half years StarDust wanted to make a step into a new direction as he will move to the US to participate in the WCS Premier America. mYinsanity wishes StarDust the very best for the upcoming year and we hope that he will be able to grab himself some more trophies for his cabinet!

Wtf.... So unexpected. Stardust is MYI to me

Good luck Stardust and mYi!

Stardust Nooo

How can Stardust play in WCS AM? He played there before 2013 but he didn't stayed there like ForGG in EU.
|
Noooo I got to like him a lot, surprising to me, they were a really great fit! Enjoyed the few inside videos mYi made with SD and the rest, seemed like they were having a lot of fun!

Wow. This is actually pretty surprising. Sad to see him go.
Hopefully he has another team lined up. I don't doubt it, who wouldn't want him.
|
Good luck Stardust!
On another note, way too many Koreans will compete in WCS AM again.
Maybe add this part to the OP?
after one and a half years StarDust wanted to make a step into a new direction as he will move to the US to participate in the WCS Premier America.

ooo no where will he go? back to korea?
|
That's a shame :/
Wonder where he'll go?
|
Ah man, sad news but good luck to Stardust! I love the guy and mYinsanity won't feel the same without him!
|
So let me get this straight
>Stardust (KR) leaves mYi (EU) to play in NA >Kane (NA) joins mYi (EU) and then keeps playing in NA anyway
...?

Really sad to see StarDust leave. Anyway, best of luck to him! I hope we'll see him play in tournaments soon.
It seems like ForGG is the only Korean left in EU Not that it matters since WCS EU and AM are now connected but still...

Stardust is a pretty charismatic guy. I like him. And his style of play always forces people to be on their toes.
|
Stardust's games were one of the things that first got me into watching tournaments. I think he has enough of a rep by now that finding a team in AM should go pretty smoothly.

Yeah, I agree, AM is turning into something like KR B-Team again in that case.

really unexpected. gl hf stardust! really great guy

More and more Koreans finding a way over the big lake. Gl to Stardust. Always been a fan of his unique plays.

Just pray he doesn't join root, I'd prefer StarDusts's career not die

Has it been confirmed for hydra and jaedong? And if they do play in America the good thing is they have to actually practice there because of the new wcs rules so may be the American ladder will get a bump in skill like eu did
|
GL Stardust! I think any team would be lucky to have you.
|
Whoa, wasn't expecting that at all! Hopefully he can find a new team though!
|
Umm......I can't pay any attention to all of these players leaving / joining teams anymore, it is ridiculous...

Hydra is in the ROOT House on a pro-athlete visa.

This is surprising, since Stardust was the player who brought mYinsanity into the limelight. Maybe it has to do with him wanting to play in WCS America. Maybe he will be picked up by an American team?
|
Dang I feel like StarDust kinda tied that team together, with his ability to speak good english and all. I wonder if jjakji and sacrsi will be ok without him...

Hopefully they won't starve there

wow didn't see this move coming.
|
lol, im glad if he's playing wcs am. i like watching foreigners a lot but if they can't beat a "korean b teamer" (rofl) i don't want to see them challenge for a title anyway, that's stupid

Sad to see him go, but I'm very interested in seeing where he ends up.

I wouldn't call polt and hydra a b-teamer. Hydra was CJ's main zerg player along with effort in proleague, and he has gotten decent results in GSL. Polt has had very good results in multiple premier leagues overseas, Even Jaedong might not be considered a b-teamer if he can get back to what he used to be when he just joined EG (the Kong line).
But for the rest.... yeah.
|
should be pretty cool
get a new WCS premier league and top 8 possible all Korean again, going to be sweet korean domination even when trying to merge
stardust polt forgg hwaiting!

Not exactly a fan of his play, but his results speak for them self. Any team would be lucky to have him.

I don't think there is any Korean (at least in Europe, not sure about NA) who benefits from this rule except ForGG

I hope your joking, Prime uniforms are terrible, root shirts are eye-sores, mYi shirts are actually well done

The forGG rule is literally a forGG rule. It doesn't apply to anybody else.

This is sad.w Hoping that he gets the opportunity to keep playing in Europe

Yeah, you are right. Let's stop all tourneys that have foreigners in them. That will make things much better.
Or wait a second, how would it be if we like had two titles in Korea, you know, for Koreans this year, and one for the rest of the world. Wouldn't that be pretty nifty?

Unified WCS wasn't made to favor foreigners. The aim was to make the prizepool in each region proportionate to the skill level of the players.
|
He came, he saw, he won. First Dreamhack, then the dreaded WCS vs San.
Because he didn't play in high-level tournaments before, it looked like he came out of nuffing. Then he beat everyone on his way. He fulfilled the dream.
And then he proved that he wasn't a one hit wonder.
They smeared him as Cheesedust. But that nerd knows how to play. I really hope he plays some more.
|
A little surprised StarDust didn't try to compete in Korea in S1 if he wasn't going to be able to get his visa in time to enter WCS. I guess he just doesn't want to go back to Korea? Or maybe he was expecting his visa to be ready so he didn't sign up?
