No BW bashing. No SC2 bashing. This should be obvious. While it's okay to be upset, let's not start that hopeless argument again.

SPOTV isn't even calling its own league SSL. Just "Starcraft II Starleague". SSL is just some acronym that lichter made up to make typing it out easier, and you guys are getting wound up over nothing. On the other hand, Sonic actually uses the SSL acronym, so yea. But even then, Sonic didn't start using the SSL acronym himself until the 8th season or so .. SSL was something I coined (because typing out SonicTV BJ Starleague is dumb, and didn't fit in the calender), and it ended up sticking. actually, I'm wrong lol

Given all the rumours about GOM's financial state at the moment, that's what made me question it. Purely a guess trying to understand their thinking. I hope that it's not going to happen, because a more diverse scene is better for everyone, but there's got to be a reason for the competitive scheduling. Surely they're not that incompetent that they didn't realise GSL is on Wednesdays...

actually, upon further investigation, it appears I am wrong. In all of the links provided by lichter, I could not find a single reference to "SSL", but upon searching for other articles about this, I see a couple of sources referring to the "SSL" acronym. My bad .. kind of weird how all the articles linked in OP managed to not reference that though.

So I saw it on some sites and figured that was actually what they were abbreviating it to.

Also, overlapping schedules, yay! There's potential for drama...

Proleague is coming. A second major Korean SC2 league is coming. The hype train I've boarded is picking up too much steam to be derailed by these relatively minor concerns
