If I understood the news from earlier right SPOTV and GSL will be 2 different leagues and means that they will have different players right? So do the players have to choose theirselves the league?

No, players can participate in both.

So they can be in both leagues in same time? hmm ok, sounds not so good for the foreigners, who have only 1 league.

Well, there aren't nearly as many competitive foreigners as there are Koreans, so it seems more fair tbh.

And I think 3 seasons of GSL and SPOTV, the seasons must run at same time, otherwise there isnt enough time for 6 seasons,( first season of SPOTV ends March, so almost 3 months only 1 season) and it doesnt also make sense if for example, if we take that the 2 leagues run almost at same period of time, maybe just 2 or 3 weeks difference, and a player, maybe Taeja is able to advance in both Finals, and it means he has 2 times WCS points in 1 Season. So it means also the players have 6 seasons+Proleague+Kespa Cup, which wont fit the idea of NEW WCS System 2015 of Blizzard, they wanted that foreigners may at least have a chance to compete with Koreans, by the semi region lock. And if they allow Koreans to have so much WCS points, it wont help even if it was full region lock. So i am pretty sure, the players who plays SPOTV has no chance to play till next season. But we will have to wait till for more information.

Can someone in Korea tell me what SPOTV is?

Is SPOTV on par with GomTV? Should we expect something epic like the MSL/OSL from SC1 or something less?

SPOTV is much bigger than GOMTV. SPOTV is one of the largest sports channels in Korea, similar to ESPN in the U.S. They have the broadcasting rights in Korea for the top sports leagues in the world, such as NBA and MLB, as well as the Korean sports leagues as well.

SPOTV has many different channels such as SPOTV2, similar to how ESPN has ESPN2 or ESPN U. SPOTV created a new channel SPOTV Games dedicated to e-Sports and they are now running multiple e-Sports leagues ranging from the most competitive game titles such as StarCraft 2 and Dota 2 as well as games like Cart Rider.

Is spotv bigger than OGN? Or are they on par?

It depends on what you are comparing. OGN doesn't hold a candle to the entire SPOTV organizations. But at the same time OGN is owned by CJ, one of the largest companies in Korea, and CJ is bigger than SPOTV.

Meh, with all due respect, from their English proleague broadcasts their production values has been subpar but hopefully they'll pick it up. If they're really the ESPN of Korea they should be able to dedicate more resources to this, but PL honestly looked like an amateur production when they did it. Quite a drop off in quality from what I was used to with OGN. But maybe they just didn't want to dedicate too much resources to an English broadcast which could be temporary.

You honestly think that ESPN would dedicate a ton of resources to an ESPN to make a SC2 game as well produced as an NFL game? Give me a break... SPOTV did quite fine with SPL so far, and the only conclusion you can draw from that is that with SPLs continued success will come furthered monetary and concentrated support.

I really enjoyed watching Proleague this year, so I'm looking forward to this league.

I definitely think they could improve though, especially in terms of translating things to English. While I don't mind announcements and commercials being in Korean (maybe it's more complicated to broadcast in 2 languages), they could at least add English subtitles to the videos like the trailer or the name contest or even the DotA interviews they play during breaks. They do have dedicated translator for player interviews, so that's good.
Production seems decent to me, though the translator voice is usually really quiet. Also, they should probably fix the VoDs on their YouTube channel, they are always in random order.

Speaking about translation, could someone translate that trailer with player interviews? I really wish they put subtitles on YT

Here is the translation by an amateur translator (I am Korean though). Please note that I am a fan of sOs and could not help but put a little comment to one of his answers. Have fun.

Says they'd announce more details in the future. I'm sure Blizzard is still ironing out how to distribute WCS points between WCS international vs the two Korean leagues, so we might not hear about that until Blizz make their WCS announcement.

No, players can participate in both.

I remember recently reading the two leagues will not run simultaneously.

If yes, then like I wrote yesterday, the Korean players have 6 Seasons+Proleague+Kespa Cup and some will definitely go to IEM, Dreamhack, HSC and other WCS Point Tournaments, while foreigners have only 3 Season+tournaments I mentioned, and its only 1 League for NA and EU players together. If it was separated in NA and EU like this and last year, it would ve been maybe ok, now it is like making the chance for foreigners equal almost to 0 to qualify for the Blizzcon.

Well...
With the amount of Korean tournaments increased as you mentioned, I guess less Korean players will participate in IEM/DH/etc and therefore more points will be granted for the foreign scene. Blizzcon is supposed to be the tournament of the very best players - more than 1-2 foreigners shouldn't be there anyway, imo.

a cool name would be STL wich can be : SpotTv League, Starleague, Starcraft League.
and it can be a considered a ''cousin'' to SPL (starcraft 2 proleague, or SpotTv Proleague) ^^
