It's probably a double edged sword, that it is situated in their relatively small city (compared to the big German metropoles). The apartment becomes much cheaper that way, however the target live-audience is smaller as well. Hopefully they can benefit from some bigger cities in their near vicinity. :-/
Germany basically hasn't got big metropoles! There are only 4 towns in Germany that hail more than 1 million people! So Krefeld isn't that small with ~200.000 people! Also it is basically still part of the "Ruhpott". An area of many towns and good speedway connection! If you would do a "triangle" of Krefeld, Cologne (~50km to Krefeld; also one of the four million towns) and Dortmund (~70km) you get a TON of people!

not to mention that the "ruhrpot" has around 12 million people ^^ krefeld is really near to düsseldorf etc but its CHEAP and thats the most importent thing for such a big building xD also its super easy to reach from düsseldorf/colonge so everyone can come here fast by plane and train
also its nice that take shortens my way to him from 8 minutes to 3 minutes xD

Yes, but from the big cities of the Ruhrgebiet, it is much more inconvenient than simply traveling inside a city. Though it's definitely reasonable distance to cover for an interesting an event or two. I hope the team has plans to keep the place busy.
thank you for your feedback and support!!! Just wanna make sure we definitly gonna do it and try to do the best possible location you can imagine with what power we have.
I always have been crazy :D and i always do what i love and push for it until the very end! I hope you keep supporting me as you did in the past.
I will promise you i will do everything in my power to even bring you a better atmosphaere than we had in this appartment and i have tons of crazy ideas how we gonna do it!

Dear Dennis and your crew/team:
I adore the way you try something like an Idea in your head(s) that may sound stupid to everyone else but still somehow you make it happen and not only that: you make it a success and somehow awesome.
HSC was always so different to all the other things, I watched it even when I wasn't into SC2 anymore. And the casting by the koreans... the special guests like Stephano after his retirement.
And although you made everything you tried awesome, I am one of those persons who don't like change to things that already are great. HSC was always so cool, cause it had this special HOME atmosphere. So I fear, this could dissappear and therefore I wish you all the best and may you prove me wrong, but I will only start to donate when I already saw it turning out even better then the previous HSC. I'm a little bit of a chicken here, I know...
This project is amazing. We can feel Dennis' emotion when he hosts the first visit, and we realize that this guy is a pure blessing for the SC2's german and worldwide audience. Great human project too with certainly a lot of employed people all year long. I'll continue to support Homestory cups for ever ! Good luck with that wise move, Dennis, your build order is perfectly refined !

Well from experience (i'm from the Ruhrpott), the public transportation works well. It's definately not a problem. That is, as long as there's no strikes going. And by car it's even easier, thanks to Autobahn. It actually isn't that big of a difference between travelling inside a city (Tram, Bus) and travelling in the Ruhrgebiet in general (Train, then tram, bus). Of course, i can't speak for the small cities in the Pott, since i'm from Essen originally (one of the bigger cities), but shouldn't be too different.
