Why was he warned? He basically said "if you think Empire is irrelevant, its proportional to what SC2 is considering eSports as a whole". Which sadly is true.
The game isn't as big as it used to be, there is nothing wrong in pointing out that in a topic about another team closing its doors to SC2.
About Happy. Well, its sad because I remember watching some live games of him long ago. He was one of those Terran players that were very cool to see playing. I remember seeing an epic marine micro of him against aTnDarkForce in NASL.
Even if he doesn't quit SC2, I think he can get some profit from smaller tournaments and just be there in the scene. However it would be really cool to see him in EG for example.

Seriously, if we would drop this attitude of blindly supporting sc2 and made community outcry long ago it would help sc2 through blizzard acknowledging and doing smth. But, no, we have to pretend everything is ok cause we dont want to ruin whats left of sc2, when in reality there is nothing left. isnt sc2 now the same as sc:bw. korea and well thats it? no we have still dreamhack and a small german fighter who gives events. so overall sc2 is in a much better shape than sc:bw ever was globaly. yeah its more shitty in korea but well its ok that sc is not just centered in korea. no koreans come to us to show us fantastic play. always this complaining and non understanding that sc2 is in way better shape than sc:bw ever was. and blizzard paying players. thats fucking amazing. no way of monotasation but they keep paying. i love world of warcraft for this. and sry but 1vs1 games are just dying. shooter died, now third person clicking dies too. team games are wining. thats how it is and maybe it will change again. dont be sad. buy the last dlc and be happy If you are talking about BW foreign scene then yes. If you are talking Korean scene. It's smaller. Also i think shooters are in good shape. Quake is still there (also smaller), CSGO still have big teams with big sponsors and Call of Duty and Halo are still played in MLG. that are team games. and i just said 1vs1 games are dying. first in the shooter szene and as you point out just team shoters are alive and now the click to move unit games like rts are dying and the team based games that you control this way are alive
Oh ok i missread your post. Fair enough. my bad :p

Every day we have at least several tournaments. Theres ton of players on profesional teams being paid to play the game. Remember this is a single player game while the games that draw more viewers are team games (LOL, Dota, CS). But that very virtue they are bound to draw players attention. People love to play with friends, love to blame others for their loses. And love watching same things happening on stream. Theres nothing strange with team games drawing bigger numbers.
by that logic SC2 team games should've been huge, but it's not, the problem is not as much the genre as it is the game itself.
