I suppose this means proleague will remain with 8 teams, I was hoping for 10 this season but I suppose its better to have 8 with stronger lineups than 10 with 2 weaker teams

I somehow doubt the Taiwanese players will actually come to play in SPL. I figure it'll be Leenock and San (assuming San has to leave Europe next year because of the residency requirements) and if PartinG does in fact join him as well.
Keep in mind Yoe had a "partnership" with Prime this last SPL and the only person we ever saw show up for Yoe was Leenock.

That partnership was pretty much made so that Leenock could help out Choya and MKP who he is close friends with, Wasn't meant to be the rest of the players. Also note that the reason Leenock didn't play much was because he has to live in Taiwan for a certain amount of months so he had trouble getting to play except for the week he was in Korea for GSL.
This partnership will most likely make Leenock able to live in his apartment in Seoul or in Startale's house and play in Proleague. However, I don't think we will see that many players from Taiwan (assuming this is a partnership for proleague, still not confirmed) since it's tougher for them to adjust to a new country etc. And travelling superoften from Korea <-> Taiwan is not worth it. Maybe we'll see them every now and then but I think this partnership is mostly made for YoeFW's Korean players (San and Leenock and potential future pickups)

Hopefully we get an actual confirmation that this team\alliance will play in PL. As seen before in the Korean scene, things can change in a heartbeat, and i do remember someone else (MVP) announcing collaboration with yoe or at least leenock at the beginning of the post-season?!
Anyway by no means will this team be last. With ST and yoe together, including the taiwanese which are ranking up kills against koreans (go has!!) They have way better players and a more deep\solid roster than MVP and Prime. Possibly even better than CJ, after recent retirements and their dependence on herO and Byul (more about him in some posts above)
Anyway they need a terran, so pls pls PICK GUMIHO!!!

All of them (the korean players too) are living in Taiwan atm. AFAIK it's in their contract so they have to stay in Taiwan for an X amount of months. Dunno if that will change to next year. Leenock does have an apartment in Seoul but he's living in Taiwan atm.

I don't get why Yoe would team up with Startale though. Purposefully handicapping your own team in Proleague seems like the opposite of a good decision.

No. They have none of this. The only reason behind this is that ST lacks players for the season and yoe is there to fill the gap.
Is this an indicator that scene is healthy? ....
So it's not me being dramatic (not my intension at all), but you guys being hyped w/o any decent reason.
I say this not to mock any1 but because i'm truly and deeply dissapointed. Because what i expected was not teams merging but:
- teams getting new players and expanding their rosters
- teams getting new (and reliable) sponsors
- players getting paid well (not only in half of the teams)
I know it all sounds a bit unrealsitic but one could dream.
