He certainly could be the first since NesTea simply because he's a GSL Royal Roader who's gotten the job done where soO hasn't this year. I would also dare say that I feel he was going into the Proleague following WCS Global Finals with a better team around him than sOs did when he joined Jin Air last year (though they're certainly nothing to sneeze at.) (Edit: Adding a bit and bumping poll.)
Poll: Who has the scariest Proleague Top 4 right now?

Zest is still the best player in the world.
I find it hard to argue that he is, after WCS Global. He has the best 2014 result sheet, but I don't really see a way of measuring that puts him safely above everyone else.

Zest is the best, there is no denying that really. (srsly though, there simply is no BEST player, but i am pretty sure everyone who has any clue would put him top5 players overall)
So in other words, the whole "get Kespa teams to partner with foreign teams" was NOT actually an effort to get more than one country to have a chance to succeed at this game.

It was, Dayshi wanted to go in Korea, Scarlett too.

Pretty sure Yoe Flash Wolves isn't a Korean team. If the players themselves don't want to play, what do you think KeSPA should do? Pay them?

But their teams didn't want them to? They couldn't find partner teams?

No disrespect to Dayshi (I like him a lot) but isn't the Korean/KeSPA mindset the exact opposite of his own mindset towards the game? Oo

Whilst I have grave doubts about all of the above, it would be interesting to see how Zealously coped with these events. :D

Zest doesn't win one tournament (going out to the eventual winner in a series that went the distance, and really wtf was Zest thinking canon rushing when he could have won straight up but anyway I digress) and suddenly he's no longer the best player in the world? I disagree, although if he bombs out of the first round of the Hot6 Cup then maybe then you can talk about him going off the boil.
But as it stands I think Zest is the player who has best claim to the description as best player in the world.
