Well, they barely had any players, and most of them sucked. And then Billowly left after like 2 days so people though they were going under

We might see some old kor leaving WCS EU, Llewellys said that Blizzard does not want to see 16 koreans at Blizzcon.

Pretty interesting that they don't wanna see the best players at Blizzcon. Makes sense though, people care more about skin colour than skill

Maybe they should just go back to 2012 style if they don't want to see 16 Koreans at blizzcon

That is SUCH a good bait, not gonna lie. I came close to going through that old argument again.

Anyway, to keep things somewhat Kespa-related, I'm surprised that, if Prime wants to still commit all-out to Proleague, they cut State and let Billowy's deal fall through. I guess they must really have a lot of faith in Zoun.

Well yeah but that's not the same d:
Also, seriously I don't know who at Blizzard is in charge of next year's WCS but he should take a break and think about what he's doing. Forcing EU-based Koreans to leave EU to come back to KR is just going to cause the KR scene to implode. If they really want to see foreigners at BlizzCon, then either wait one or two years under the current system because Koreans playing on EU allows Europeans to improve, or make BlizzCon a 64 players tournament so that people can see their local hero get crushed by top Koreans without penalizing too much the top Koreans.

The non working holidays is the main issue about WCS EU for ESL/korean players.

ForGG had a working visa last year but he now lives in Germany with his girlfriend and he now has the non working holidays visa. 95 % of korean players are screwed if they use the non working holidays visa. We'll know the answer next week or at the end of Blizzcon.

I wish they made Blizzcon like WCS 2012, no need to give prizes to regional qualifiers unless Blizzard partners wanted to, keeping the current format throughout the year (no WCS points and maybe adding season finals). But off-topic and never gonna happen...

Millenium's manager said it tonight and there have been some hints recently on Reddit/Twitter about an announcement around BlizzCon.

The problem if Blizzard decides not to take non residency visas is that it would penalize the koreans that moved their entire life to foreign countries (imagine violet if he was told he couldn't compete in WCS AM because he doesn't have the right visa, he would probably retire and go to the army right away, same goes for forGG that lived in Europe for a good 2-3 years now, he is pretty much european now). If Millenium does an annoucement of picking up Rain/Soulkey/Fantasy or whoever, cool but let's be honest: koreans would be essentially of no interest to foreign teams if they would be locked in Korea (they would only get to play in an overcrowded GSL and maybe in SPL via partneship not necessarly including team representation like HerO did this year with IM). and that would basically kill the korean migration towards the West, effectively killing the scene. I just hope Blizzard does the right choice and lets (or even helps) foreign team picking koreans.
