So, 4 players cancelled but 5 replaced them? How does that work?
Edit: Btw, the flags are a bit messed up, all the Ukrainian players got flags from the united Kingdom and Adonminus got one from Greece instead of Israel.
The Koreans probably cancelled for WECG. The Korea nationals for this are on 15-16 September. Sojung tweeted Life was playing in it instead of going to DH

...Well, yeah. Like any tournament anywhere ever, there is seeding that exists and is used.

Also, this. I assume it's a shortcut issue. There are 2-letter codes for each flag, and someone must have made a wrong assumpption about what flag "uk" was. Happened on Passionstone Liquipedia once - Hafu was listed as Swiss for a day because someone made a typo.

Bad seeding. There are group where is only 1 "good" player and several where is 2 "good players. But then there is also group C with Serral, Patience and TargA. (OP has error in his list. Serral is in group C) not fair Bad seeding ;(

It's like I could get tickets at such short time...Am frustrated
btw, i've requested my teammate as for my replacement in email, is it "leagal"? He will be there for sure, unfortunetly I don't have any options to attend DH up to date It was so late notification
hhmm this also really improves MMA's chances to make it to top 16 WCS. He's highly favoured in his WCS EU group and he doesn't have a lot of competition left in this dreamhack so he's highly likely to get ro8 or ro4.

I think even with the cancelation, tournament will be fun to watch. Sad tho. And i think DH in that area can give a huge boost to the game popularity and reviving some players with decent results before, who are lost atm. like Fraer, Bratok, revolver, livezerg, noname, slivko, DMC recently is strong, Kas mb can show something. Even to see Bboong would be nice.(interesting who is sponsoring the trip?) Should be fun. And its good for the game and DH. New fans, new players, new spectators.
Guess True and First are cheerworthy now then, after Snute of course ^_^ Really hope that Jjakji, Yoda and MMA fails here would rather not see them at Blizzcon. Well maybe MMA would be alright but naw rather see Innovation, hero or Rain.
Really disappointed in Stork and Dear cancelling personally. I don't care about Life and Solar because there are still plenty of good zergs in the lineup like TRUE and Hyun. In fact those two cancelling could be a blessing for it means less ZvZ in the bracket stage. Still, Stork and Dear is definitely a big blow. Overall though I would still say this DreamHack's lineup is above average, and the tournament could even reach greatness if a foreigner like Snute ends up winning it. People need to stop overreacting.
Kas, Adominus, me and Mefisto are in the same team, but it the topic, we got Cascade, Cascade progaming and Cascade.1xb, I think it should be edited for a single title :D

I guess you forgot about the ZvZ fest Dreamhack Bucharest. I cant say I blame you.
Well, Bucharest this year had a very strong lineup although for some reasons in the final 16 only zergs managed to eliminate other zergs. Still it had a strong lineup with TY, MC, Ryung, Impact, Jaedong, Hyun, Snute, INnoVation, Bunny, Leenock, Life, jjakji and StarDust all making top 16. That is eleven strong koreans all making top 16 and players like YoDa, HerO, Patience, First, Golden and RorO didn't even get that far in.
On the contrary this Dreamhack has only 11 koreans on the roster in general, and the ones that show up are of a lower calibre. BBoongBBoong and Daisy for example haven't been relevant for a very long time now.

He probably meant 2012 Dreamhack Bucharest.
I find that unlikely as he specified a ZvZ fest. While Bucharest 2012 had a pretty weak lineup which I won't deny for a second, it wasn't particularly heavy on ZvZs.

No matter who of those three doesn't go to the ro32 it will be a damn shame. :I

Oops, thanks for the notice ( and fix mods... :o )

aaaaand Fraer is now from Ukraine instead of Russia!
I think technically he is a russian citizen now, since he lives on Crimea, which is de facto russian now.
Ah.. oh.. that is too confusing Since the tournament is in Russia, he is consider Russian by Russia of course... if the tournament would be in say France, we would still consider him ukrainian...

I think I'm right then. They had Oleg instead of Serral in their list when they made the groups, so it went like that, then they exchanged Serral with someone else because it was obviously unfair
The lineup is really spotty now that the Samsung guys canceled. At this point, any of the near - Blizzcon players could probably win and secure Blizzcon if they decided to show up and play.

I heard somewhere, that he lives in Crimea, so he has a russian passport and russian citizenship now.
There was an option to decline Russian citizenship for the crimean and due to comments at goodgame.ru -- Fraer asked the admins to set the Russian flag to his profile. So it's his choise.
