Does anyone know if GEM Korea always been used as a name or if Super and Keen will stay in Korea? Nice pickup for GEM anyway!
edit: They will not be moving to GEM house in Germany.

They provide financial support for players and try to hook them up with potential sponsors/teams. They got First and Yoda onto TCM, and they can pretty much get anyone and everyone an Azubu streaming deal. Ragnarok said GEM actually treats him well enough that he's not looking for a team while he's on them. Hopefully, this support means we can actually see Super do some traveling next year. I've always felt he had more potential individually than he ever wound up showing - he was MVP's ace for a reason, after all.

which means like speculation like "Nestea and Mvp should go to the GEM house in Europe and play in WCS" aren't anywhere nearly as simple as they seem

Does GEM have a teamhouse in Korea, like in Europe (Dusseldorf), or will they just practice at home?

Some players seems to get more support than others. MC obviously and Nestea. Im guessing they get a small salary for streaming on azubu or something.

Many people in "real" sports have managers or are under a management company. If you take Formula 1 (well, motorsports), a driver will usually have a manager. That manager will help them get sponsorship so they can drive for a team (a lot of teams employ drivers who bring sponsorship to the team, for obvious reasons, rather than paying them), or they might arrange for individual sponsorship/promotion deals for products, or they will talk to various teams to get their driver a drive (e.g. talking to F1 teams to see if the team has a space for their driver). Same for football players, they have managers who handle contract negotiations, and will often get them individual endorsement deals. https://www.google.co.uk/?gfe_rd=cr&ei=_XIIVMz1CvKq8wfh64DwBQ&gws_rd=ssl#q=football management agency Lots of companies. Of course, in eSports being on a team is less of a requirement than motorsports or football, but the rest of the work still needs to be done such as arranging sponsorship contracts etc. Basically GEM does what any management company does for a sports player, deals with the non-sporting side of things so that the player can earn more money or find the most suitable team etc.

Apparently all the MVP guys left because they didn't want to play SPL so we probably won't see them there. Plus we don't see Mvp and Nestea much and they are on GEM Korea no?

Would be strange having so many in Korea on no proper team, as the only big things around are GSL and SPL now.

And the EU and AM Regions dont have enough money either for all the strong players who leave Korea / Korean teams. I hope this wount backfire, so that many player quit SC II and less player will invest their live into SC II and we got a lack of talents and strong players in one or two years.

Still better than them retiring, KeeN I feel has fallen by the wayside a little but Super was pretty consistently doing well in Proleague--him and DRG pretty much carried MVP on their backs. Although I am still sad he changed his name from the silly but awesome Vampire to the insanely generic Super.
