I'm surprised that not one or two but ALL of his show are gone. I mean he had like 4 or 5 show per week and even if he kept going with one, he still would have more freetime than before... I guess ?
He said he's keeping Deck Wars going for now because of a obligation to Machinima. But with esports everything happens on the weekend so if you want to keep up with scenes you've got to spend your weekend watching stuff instead of with your family.

This game is dieing and its very sad. Personalities like this are rare and few between, but it's hard playing a game that offers nothing to anyone.

That sucks. Wasn't really a fan persay (I generally only watched the VoDs if TB was on) but shows like Unfiltered were and still are a needed part of the community so it always sucks when they go. But I can definitely understand why and I wish nothing but the best for him

I am glad I bought enough beer for tonight.

Unfiltered is a great show. I am thankful for all the time Chanman put into it. Good luck!

And I just "Followed" on Twitch for his last Unfiltered...well...that's about that then

Best of luck to ChanmanV. I will miss your shows

too bad to see him retire like this? When he started to get somewhat "big" sad to see but gl chanmanV in the future! And maybe you will comeback for some more starcraft/hearthstone action!
|
Good luck to him. Didn't really get into his shows. But I'd check them out sometimes if I had nothing to watch.
|
Very sad to see him go. He was one of the few people who helped bring attention to the mapmaking community here on TL. Best of luck in the future, Chanman!

As bastions of the community find they can't do it anymore, for whatever reason, it's important to remember that there are still so many people with just as much passion and just as much dedication ready to step up. We lost a JP, but there's a Feardragon who'd love to help out. We lose a Chanman, but there's still a NanMan. Slasher and Wheat will keep doing their part. Even established names are getting into the act - desRow has his own show now too. They may not be the same faces we know. They may not have the same production quality - yet, at least. But they have the same dream that the Chanimal had when he started. They want to get the community talking. And if enough people tune in, I think they will.
We'll always appreciate all that ChanMan has done for us, but as we see what is lost, we must look to what's still there. It's the cycle of any organism - one goes, another grows. It's beautiful. The essence never truly goes away, merely takes on a different form. So guys, take a look around. There are some cool people who'd love to do their part in filling the gap that's been left.

I asked Richard what his plan was and he said drowning his sorrows in alcohol, and I'm doing the same. We're in good company.

Why are so many ppl sad about this news? I could understand it if it was some honest guy who has integrity but chanman has none of that.

I won't miss him or his 40 bots.
Most likely leaving cause its kinda hard to get real viewer numbers when he isn't using bots to get yourself to the front page.
I'd care if he was good and legit, and in my opinion he is neither.
