I was disappointed that the delay meant that I missed all of jjakji's games since i had to sleep, but im sad that he got knocked out. I remember back in his GSL run days when he was known for his amazing TvP, but it seems that lately it has been a bit shaky at times. I hope the games were amazing and that I'll be able to go back and watch them soon.

Also, holy crap Snute. Way to be amazing in a group that I thought he would be lucky to get 3rd place. Unreal how good he is.

Snute has this almost Stephano ability to just tear through Code S level koreans, but I find, its not as consistent as some may suggest, to the a point where he is susceptible to even fellow foreigners
he's not perfect, but he's pretty damn good

Jjakji showed a lot of heart and skill in his series against Zest. TRUE's game 1 vs. Stork was definitely the most memorable match, and even though he lost to Snute, he displayed some fantastic ZvZ.

One thing the write-up doesn't really touch on is the lag issues that plagued the players all night. TRUE's series against Innovation started with the two players discussing lag in-game, and featured some crazy micro blunders by TRUE. I'm not saying the guy is a TvZ expert, but there's no way latency wasn't involved. Lag obviously played a huge role in Inno's series against Snute, as Inno lost a Reaper to slow Lings off creep which resulted in him losing his FE and being down 0-1 very early on. During that series, Snute would go on to pause the game due to "laggyu."

Hard to really know the extent to which lag influenced the results, but the players obviously had to compete in subpar conditions. I can't for the life of me understand Blizzard's unwillingness to fix this atrocious, glaring issue.

If by fixing you mean giving LAN, then Blizzard wont do it because certain ppl would just play the cracked/pirated version of the game...

That is a stupid arguement, you can't ladder on cracked or pirated versions. Also no one is saying that you should be able to play campaign offline. Just bloody LAN, why would people pirate a game they have never played before to play against the computer (or other players) if you don't even know how to build an SCV....

Everyone that wants to play SC2 has bought the game already, and if they haven't SC2 already have lots of perks if you want to play it. Like player spawning. There really is no good excuse for not getting LAN.

I never really comprehend the meaning of clinic when used in this context?

Does it just mean a lesson in standard x?

They just need to put LAN in. No one is buying this game anymore. At least add it a few months after Legacy of the Void is released. Then there's little money to be made any longer.

Essentially, "putting on a clinic" means displaying how to do something very well (alternatively, well and with little effort). At least that's the context I would use the term in.

they can just have tournament versions of sc2 with LAN. which is installed/uninstalled by blizzard employees on tournament computers if they're really stubborn about it and they can even charge a fee! i just made more money for blizzard.

To be honest, when snute go to korea, he can't even go to code s. Stork luckily went to code s only with his pvp skill. Snute cant stand with korea protoss

Good to see foreigners other than Scarlett or Naniwa or Stephano beating two of the best Zerg and Protoss players in the world. Hoping for Snute to get at least top 4.

Seeing as how well Snute played against Stork, I'd say he has a realistic chance of beating Zest if they meet. Other than Taeja or Snute, I can't anyone beating Zest. Snute is a maybe. Taeja is a yes.

I think Zest is the one player he would want to face the least. Zest is a monster against zerg and especially against SH styles. I think Taeja or Innovation have the best shot against him. Maybe someone can get lucky in PvP.

Solar has the best chance of beating Zest, his ZvP is crazy good.
