It looks like we'll be seeing four familiar faces in Code S Season 2. The second night of Code A saw all four defending players from Code S successfully preserve their spots against the challengers who had come up from the qualifiers.
Group C saw CJ_Bbyong and MVP.DongRaeGu hold their ground against AX.Impact and Tassadar. True to his reputation, Tassadar tries to all-in in every single one of his games, but was easily stopped by his opponents. Impact proved to be a much more formidable challenger, taking both Bbyong and DongRaeGu the full three games. Though Impact had chances to win both series, he failed to capitalize on his opportunities and was eliminated.
In Group D, SKT_ParalyzE and IM_YongHwa were able to return to Code S, defeating MVP.Super and JinAir_Cure. The results ran counter to what many had expected from recent Proleague performances, as both Cure and Super had played well in Round 2. On the other hand, ParalyzE hadn't played a single game for SKT at all, while YongHwa's win-rate was below 50%. Once again, individual leagues proved to be a whole other arena from team competition.
Hot6ix Code S Season 2 Players Seeded from Season 1 (8): Zest, soO, Life, Rain, sOs, herO, PartinG, Maru
Code A Winners (8/24): TAiLS, Classic, INnoVation, Dark, Bbyong, DongRaeGu, ParalyzE, YongHwa
Past Results April 9th - Group A & B: TAiLS, Classic, INnoVation, and Dark advance.

Dat YongHwa advances only when you dont believe in him...

He threw that last game SUPER hard.

SKT 3-0 in Code A. Already 6 players in Code S

As an Axiom fan, watching Impact come so close to making it to Code S just to get pipped at the post by DRG was so sad. I hope he's not too disappointed, there's no shame in losing to Bbyong and DRG and there's always next season.
Kind of surprised to see that Cure dropped out without taking a single map, his PL performances were decent and he only had one match-up to prepare for. He should get Maru to teach him the ways of TvP.

yes, it was a match where it would have been okay to award both players a loss

9 P 4Z 3T and all of them pretty much top players of their race! And some newer players looking to make a splash mixed in (Dark , Tails etc) now just a couple more zergs and terrans and we have a awesome code S on our hands! Please TY Flash and Fanta make it!

Code S has met it's "3 Terran per Season" Quota...
All other Terrans attempting to qualify should be warned.

Havent seen his games vs. Super though

Dark was expected at least with recent Sora slump (or can we say that Sora was WCG-trick pony lol?)
Protoss's peak might be at 20, still not highscore. Even tho, 5-6 Tosses more to advance, so 13-14, which will summon hate anyway :D And imagine what will happen if Choya advances.
Dear might be another guy falling from championship into Code B in one season as well.
11P-15Z-6T seem real after Code A, if big upsets don't happen in almost every group. Even though, it was without counting SuperNova and it might be huge mistake :D

too bad roro didn't advance, I wanted him in code s
But still, all in all, almost all players that I tought that would advance, did.
Too bad they can't advance all.

yonghwa is so bad recently in proleague, and super is so good, why coupldn't super jsut advance so we don't have to watch yonghwa dropping out of code s in embarassing fashion again?

ByuL and Solar are very solid Protosses, but Dear's best match-up is PvZ.
It all depends on whether the championship Dear shows up tho. Judging from his recent 3 kill against Team Liquid I'd say he's form hasn't been the worst it's been.

Oh man this group D. what a painful group to watch. Tassadar should have somehow been transferred to that group with his play today and it would have been perfect

Solar and Byul are just wrecking in PvZ and Dear's PvP was godlike back in his immense form. I won't be surprised seeing Solar or Byul eliminated, but right now i have to give them a favour even if Dear slowly recovers after joining foreign team.

I may be wrong, but I think that Artosis said that Cure and Super are going to advance, THERE YOU GO! :D

Sucks Impact couldn't make it, just barely. But cool to see DRG back in form!
