I'm thinking
Hyun, Heart
HuK, Neeb
TaeJa, MacSed
Polt, Bomber

will advance.

Group B, anything could happen. Hoping TaeJa doesn't retire and plays group C

Wow that vote of no confidence in Alicia and Revival!

I'll take
Hyun/Oz
Alicia/Revival
Taeja/MacSed
Polt/Bomber

I would've put Huk ahead of Revival before this weekend but I think Revival is in pretty good shape right now. Plus I think Alicia is pretty boss at PvP. It's too bad because I think Neeb and Huk were both very impressive in the Ro32.

After seeing Revival play at IEM I think he will win his group fairly easy. Even though he lost to jjakji, he looked very good.

That's not a problem for Polt. He'll win the group, or 2nd behind Bomber. He performs so well in ESL Studio.

Super stoked for these groups. Polt really won me over at Cologne, and I expect him to tear up some more when he goes back!

Also is it 1v4 and 2v3, or is it 1v2 and 3v4? I always forget.

I dunno... Out of the 3 Chinese players, two are in a group they can potentially make it out of. I bet MacSed ousts Arthur for a spot out of their group behind TaeJa.

Well to be fair WCS EU only has 2 guaranteed foreigners in the round of 8. And this doesn't have any guaranteed foreigners so I dunno what he is talking about

I would've said the same but Revival looked good at IEM and Alicia was quite impressive in the Ro32 in PvP so I don't see him losing to Huk.

E-sports is getting older overall and will continue to have the median age shift more toward mid 20's as time goes on, I posit.

Revival/HuK
Macsed/Taeja
Polt/Bomber

Pretty good chance for all the foreigners that are left though. All of them played quite well in the Ro32

I'd say group B is the group of death just because they all kind of suck (relatively speaking) the same.

Most people are saying group D but there are clearly 2 players head and shoulders above the rest (Polt / Bomber)

Yeah, Revival looks to be in beast mode right now, I'd be surprised if he didn't make it out of that group in 1st place.

April seems like a long time to wait for some more WCS AM, but not that surprising given the big changes happening. Still, the groups look pretty awesome and I'm excited to be able to watch these!

I feel like the group that's hardest to predict is Group B. Alicia is a rather stable figure - you typically know what his talent level will be on a given day. I used to think that about Neeb too, but he had a real breakout performance in the Round of 32. Huk could crush skulls or get outclassed, it often comes down to how things are that day for him. The big question mark is Revival. While he looked great in his first group, and outstanding against Jjakji at IEM, we haven't seen him face a Protoss in a major match since Blizzcon, so his form is entirely unknown. Literally any combination of 2 people is within the realm of plausibility for this group, and THAT is exciting.

huk lucks out again

I remember when haters called him LuK
That was about the time he beat Naniwa 2-0 with the game 2 that included furious 1 stalker vs zealots + probe micro for like 5-10 minutes

that game was actually insanely epic
