Hopefully Taeja doesn't retire. He should know the meta game can be prone to wild swings in balance as new strategies are discovered. Back in wings he was one of the worst abusers of the 1-1-1 all in and made money because of it. Blizzard took a long time to nerf that build and they took alot less time weakening the blink all in

I'm pretty sure he is lol. NASL, puma won against MC and used lots of 1-1-1s in the process. Taeja was still on SlayerS at the time or maybe still playing those korean weekly.

My PvT doesn't! It's round about 40% and has been lower this season. :D

At the pro level, 1-1-1s became a niche build to surprise opponents while blink all-ins are STILL very common after nerf. And with PO, I don't really see 1-1-1s behind viable.

(Also, personally, I don't want to see blink all-ins nerfed out of the game.) As to a future 1-1-1 variant of Marines, Mines and Banshees, we'll have to see.

sOs was way behind from dithering around with his opening and almost won, though that was largely to Taeja gifting 4 vikings.

My favorite Korean ever.

I don't think David Kim or losing to protoss had anything to do with the tweet. Taeja likely would have tweeted the same thing no matter who or how he lost in the last game, to zerg, protoss or terran. It has more to do with not getting $100,000.

Yes, patch has been 2 weeks, so maybe we should wait to see what the pros bring out instead of suggesting what builds 'might' be viable. The whole crux of the 1-1-1 was to get tanks in range of the Nexus and defend those tanks with marines and banshees. This doesn't really work when PO out ranges the tank. And saying 1-1-1 retained its effectiveness when it was pretty gone from pro play seems very biased. Hell, blink all-ins (with obs) was more common than 1-1-1 in the second half of obs. So even if MSC was attached to a Nexus, blink all-ins would still be in the game, just less effective.

Could be wrong though lol.

It really doesn't seem like he enjoys the lifestyle that much, regardless of how balance could potentially be. It would be sad to see him go, but I wouldn't hold it against him if he wanted to move on in his life and start healing his wrists.
